2 жыл бұрынClocking another FIRST experience...this time, it's learning to scuba dive! Spent 1.5 days in Panglao, Alona Beach in Philippines, to try to get myself certified as a scuba diver.
I was under the care and watchful eye of "Ole" from Philippine Fun Divers. I gotta say that he is one of the most understanding and patient "teacher" I've ever encountered! 10/10 would recommend if you're also looking to get certified!

I love bohol. That's where I got certified in 2010. Balicasag Island and the cliff was fun.

Hello there! Thanks for watching the vlog! This trip was my first to Philippines, and also first to Bohol. It was definitely a place bustling with activities & people! Mr P and Alwina went diving at Balicasag island & the cliff too! But i didnt make it so far since i was still trying to pass my test. 😐

Thank you for this video! Im traveling to the Philippines in December, and this is something I'd like to do while there. Seems better to learn there vs learning here in the expensive states

Hi there @keithmeline7485 ! Yes, imho it IS less expensive to learn and be certified in the Philippines when comparing to other countries. The next step is to find the right company & instructor to make your learning experience e a pleasant one. My instructor placed great emphasis on safety over everything else because he has seen many accidents happen in his line of work. That gave me reassurance knowing that he's not gonna "rush" me through the course just for a quick $$$. 🥲 Good luck with learning scuba diving! 😊

Still brave enough to do it. Congratulations! I think I'll panic too if I focus hard in breathing, but if I focus with the experience of seeing things underwater, I think I'll manage somehow

Yes, very true! I thought about the possibility of me behaving differently had I focused on looking at underwater creatures. 😐The truth is....there were so many things to take note of, practise & to complete the diving exercises when underwater, that I hardly noticed the wildlife. Also, the fishes somehow don't swim at the surface, which meant that I only started to see a glimpse of them after a certain depth.🥲I'll try harder next time!

I think the jeepney overpriced you, they are usually filled up (almost) before travelling, anyway keep safe
