Actually the phrase "anda a laar" in English means exactly: go to wash the dishes, but that would be the literall meaning, because when you use it right, it means: "get out of here" "leave me alone" or even " I'm not gonna do it"

Jorina Koop funa means the act of publicly show someone or a group of people as putrid. There you have “funa al machito” or “funa a tienda” on facebook or instagram. “El funado” or “el funao” means someone that did something unfair or irresponsible against an ex-girlfriend, classmate, etc.

As a chilean I think we should be more proud of our way of talking. I mean, since I was little I remember people (chileans and not chileans) telling me that we chileans speak poorly and that we should change that or else no one will be able to understand us, but it's an important part of our identity and, in my opinion, we should keep it alive and accept it as a part of what we are. I'm from Ecuador and Chilean Spanish is a meme for all other countries here, all the words here in this video are made up that only they use, every country has some of unique words but Chilean is special, it's really funny trying to understand them even when you speak spanish too. For example "weon" they use all the time like "dude" at the end of a sentence, the real world is "huevon" which means dumb but they use it so much that it lost that meaning and because of their accent they don't pronounce the "v" from the word.

Chile was a country very isolated by the Andes mountain range, Pacific Ocean and the Atacama Desert. During the colonial period, it had little access to cultural centers so linguistically we developed ourself with many local words coming from indigenous words, pronuntation and rhythms especially Mapuche or Mapudungun and this in turn had received from Quechua, guagua, guata, for example and other influence , with the arrival of the Spaniards the Extremaduran, Andalusian and Basque style joined, being the last one closer to the upper social classes, all of the above made the Castilian spoken in Chile, almost a new dialect, difficult or very difficult for others American countries .

if you learned all this words phrases and sentences, maybe you understand a 25% of regulary chileans slang people use to. BUT there is a another level of chilean castellano. The ironic and double meaning phrases, like "¿se sirve un poquito de arrollao mijita?" 😏 (arrollao de venas obviamente), and a lot of combination from cut and invented words.

I am Cuban and WOW...I was able to understand some slang, but very few examples. The meaning becomes somewhat obvious when you think about the standard meaning of some of the words (well, the ones that us, non Chileans know). Of course, if the words and phrases are put in context, instead of just a stand-alone word, we could understand much more. The issue is not really the words. I know a lot of those words, but the phrases they build with them, and the meaning they add to them. It is very confusing....!!! Very funny though. That "Chao Pescao" at the end is very popular in Cuba.

Chilean here living in the UK and working with a whole Spanish team where only one guy and I are chileans... everytime we start speaking with our Chilean slang, the Spaniards literally end up walking away as they truly can't understand shit of what we say. Which don't get me wrong is absolutely amazing as we just talk on code. Example -"Weeeena busano, cóstuvo el carrete?" - "weeena mochila, a toa raja estuvo la weá, llegué a la casa como pico ni preguntís como si en micro o a pata"
