But India get remittance from Indian diaspora which contributes to the Indian economy and increase the foreign exchange reserve in India. For example India got $11 billion in 2002 as foreign remittance. It also useful for the family which get foreign remittance for their own purpose. Thus it helps from micro to macro level in Indian economy. But the issue you pointed out is also genuine.

we are still the leading importer of basic things which can be made here in India.IIT teaches Engineering then Engineer left engineering to be management heads so if u need to sell the soap no need to do engineering . Clearing CAT joining MBA Most of our defence equipment tools and software all imported from Other Countries like Europe ,Russia or USA. ☝️Every tax payers of India spend crores of Budget for such Government Educational Institutions .At the end these engineer left india or join in sectors Which hardly make any difference for India as a whole to be a self sufficient self Dependent country. We still have talents working in and for India. So moving abroad is definitely not an achievement these days. And if it is all about earning the money here a person with average talent or little higher than that is earning 15 to 17 LPA and talented goes above it. Developing a developed economy is neither an achievement nor people are jealous about it.
