Least Bittern Display Call

4 ай бұрынAfter arriving on their breeding grounds, Least Bitterns become quite vocal as they establish territories and seek mates. This one, in Florida's Mallory Swamp, was first heard counter-calling with another a bit farther off.

I love herons in general, not just bitterns, but I think this tiny guy is my favorite of them.
