The sounds and smells of the leather shops has remained with me always. Joe, the faces, the locations, the noises, and the names was a walk back in time for me. A good story and very well told, thanks old friend for bringing me, if only briefly, home.

Glad you enjoyed it. Chronicle Boston just did a piece the other night and there's only one tannery left. Travel Leather. I found out there's a museum in Peabody and we may have some things we are doing donate next year.

What a penomenal job on both Part 1 and Part 2. WOW. Talk about bringing back the past of walking or riding our bicycles up and down Foster Street and onto Main Street. Thank you to the crew that assembled these phemomenal memories. Great job.

@@DerekBarney I saw that and they did a nice job. Just Travel Leather is all we have nowadays. I remember walking down Foster Street all the time and to dislike the smell of leather. Now when I smell leather (finished) I LOVE the smell of the real thing.

@Fred Garvin I sure do. After that couple sold it, they bought a small place in Essex. Then a few years later, they sold that too. He was from Greece and I think Georgina was from Peabody. They had delicious roast beef. I wonder if they moved to Greece or if they opened up another restaurant somewhere else.
