Yea man, Leatherman is the crème de la crème of Multi-tools in my opinion, there're all I ever use. And yes they have top notch customer support/warranty. I haven't had to use either yet, but Ive heard/read so many testimonials that I feel pretty confident in their service. I do like the Dime for what it is, a small MT for nothing serious, like opening packages/mail and I thought that package opener was pretty much one of the best tools on it, hated the bottle opener cause it just got in the way and I overall hate bottle openers on MT's, their just a wasted space IMO. But yes, something like that on the squirt would be great. I love the squirt series cause they are the perfect size MT (best quality too) for my Altoids Tin Survival Kits, some being on my knife rigs, so they work out great for that. @nex7053 oh yea if I'm going camping, I'm bring it all with me. Better to have it and not need it, than the other way around. I'm just talking about my EDC stuff, not wanting to weigh myself down too much. Like, it eventually became like a chore, and so i found myself leaving stuff behind all the time, which kinda defeated the purpose behind my EDC to begin with. It was just too much stuff, that was not only weighing me down, but I hastle to have on me when sitting, or going in stores, etc. Decided to have a little car kit after that, with most of those extra redundancies going in that, and then just having the essentials on my person. There should be an EDC video on my channel somewhere, of what I carry now, although that one is kinda dated too now haha, but close. But basically its just: * ESEE IZULA-II * LM WAVE+ * GEAR WALLET, which contains not only my normal wallet stuff, but also my LM Bit Kits, Bit Extender/Adapter, and Firesteel. * PETZL TACTIKKA 200 (I EDC a headlamp instead of hand held light) * BM MINI ADAMAS FDE/OD (which I don't have yet, but workin on it) And then other stuff like glasses, keys, etc

Check your local pawn shops! Can't tell you how many screamin deals I've found at mine, like a Gen 2 Wave BO, Bit Kits, and sheath, all for *$20!!* Brand new condition! Gave it as a gift as well lol. Great place to find stuff like that, when you don't have much scratch left.

David Green & bonz86 Yes I would be pretty heart broken if my Surge was lost or stolen. If for that exact reason that I tend to edc cheaper end multitools. LM will replace a damaged one, but not a lost/stolen one.

daniel arenas Leatherman has Large and XL Molle Sheath in black and brown. This is the XL Brown one. When I bought the Surge it originally came with the Large Black Molle Sheath (no side bands) and yes, poor quality IMO as well. I ordered the XL Brown Molle Sheath along with the Bit Kit & Bit Extender/Adapter as a package deal on Amazon. Still very happy with it.

If your not planning on carrying your bit kits in your sheath, then yes I would go with the smaller sheath (large).

The Leatherman website should have them, it's a Leatherman product. That or Amazon. I'm sure other places do too, it's a very common one.

I paid full retail $104 for the Surge, and full retail for accessories. *BUT!* you can easily find them cheaper online, second hand but still like new, which is what I would advise. I was just impatient lol.

I agreed with another respondent in regards to the MUT sheath. I have a very old Leatherman PST. Wanted to update. It's a whole new line of tools. Someone gave me it so I could pull out spacers in tile showers. That was my main use. Now it blows me away how much they have evolved. Thanks again.

Ok it slides to one side didnt look like this was the case Ordered bigger case (XL) bits/2 pack,,extender and spare saw/file as it was cheep here in 3 days )

So I now keep it in my 'Go-bag', with all the accessories, and EDC a Wave+. Surge will always be my favorite, and in a SHTF situation..it's what I'd hope to have. For my normal EDC, I now do a Wave though.

The old model Surge used to have a slot for it, but not the new one. Only Charge & Wave do now.

Survival of the Fittest Yeah me too. But they make really good material. I have a couple of their small pouches and bags and I've beaten the shit of them over the years and they still look new.

So far I only have one of their products (Maxped 12X5 Bottle Holder) for my 64oz Kleen Kantean. Really impressed with it so far!
