I'm 69 and we watch the show every morning at 8am on the ME Network. Jerry Mathers was interviewed and brought out the point that this was the only show that was written from the perspective of the child. Also, the writers were all folks with kids and the plots came from their own home lives. Great cast, great writing; helped get us through the last few years. Thanks so much!

I was born in 1951 so grew up in that time period as well. We have a station that it's on I usually watch a couple episodes everyday. I'm sure I know every line in him that I still love to watch them. The best time in the world.

Love this! This is one of my favorite shows ever. I love Hugh Beaumont as the dad and I think Tony Dow is great. I’m enjoying hearing the perspective of the show from a psychologist’s point of view. On the last episode, Ward explains that Wally couldn’t say Theodore and it came out “Tweeter” that they turned into Beaver. I thought Miss Canfield was so pretty. Great job!

I was 7 years old in 1962 and sure enough we moved into a house and shortly had the back patio installed. All 7 of us have our signatures with hand prints on it. I remember like it was just this morning doing that.

There is a reason she wore those pearls in every episode and its not what we thought it was for. She had a medical procedure and that left a scare on her neck. She wanted to cover the scare and those pearls kept it covered.

Wally could not say Theodore it came out Teaver so they called him Beaver. It's explained in about 3 or 4 episodes.

The first episode was weird with Dad smoking cigarettes. They made Excellent adjustments after that. A true Classic. ❤❤❤❤❤

I was born in january1960 I feel like I am a part of beavers generation hey in reality we were all minors too young to drink alcohol! A one year old child I could have been a tot babysitted by those two brothers!

I remember watching the Dennis the Menace show. That was a 50s black and white sitcom. Never did watch Leave It to Beaver but I will check out yalls podcast.

I didn't appreciate June Cleaver when I was growing up watching the show. However, I do now. She always wore those shirtwaist dresses that fit and flare and a crisp crinoline underneath that poofed out the skirt. She had to really maneuver her dress when she sat on the couch.

I just binged the entire series, I really like it. I do want to know why Beaver never got into more trouble for constantly lying. I mean almost compulsive. He never learned his lesson and lied quite effortlessly😂

The Woke generation, sees everything wrong with these shows. Everything positive, is now negative.I like the show, its everything that went right for American Families. Ward came back from WW2, married his high school sweetheart,who waited for him to come home. He buys a nice home at an affordable price in a great neighborhood.He zooms up the ranks at the office, hes got confidence, puts cream in his hair, wears his suit like a crisp uniform, hes happy that life is going his way.Raises his boys to be responsible adults.

Are you going to cover Jerry's second series, New Leave it to Beaver? Also Still the Beaver and the remake movie a few years ago?

We are doing the original series in chronological order first and may do the other series too one day down the road but would be a bit till we get there 😂

My parents were the real thing in my life they were everything to me and they were more than just my parents they were doved to me I was there life we only had each other that I can count on them for any thing and their time with me they were my world

Of the main cast, Jerry is the last one alive. Though, many of the recurring characters are alive and well still 😀
