Absolutely beautiful! Can you tell us about your hurdy gurdy, like who made it, how old is it, etc.? It looks like there are two drone strings, one trompette string and three melody strings.

Heyho, absolutely correct! :) This is a 35scale "Euphonia" made for me by the german luthier Helmut Seibert (www.saitenklang.de/) She's equipped with a c-trompette (with a capo up to e), melody strings in g (octave) and a low c viola string and two drones in c (again with a capo up to e) and g, guitar tuning mechanics and a shadow pickup system. Helmut made this instrument for me two years ago and I'm absolutely in love with her since I switched the c melody to a lower octave c - that's the deep, mellow sound you can hear in the main melody ^.^
