Leaving the socks on a Valais Blacknose sheep

Shearing this wooly Valais Blacknose for show season.
We shear them in winter and leave the socks and head so they can be made extra fluffy in summer.
Every breed has different traditions for showing.
This is theirs.😁

Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees shearing content! Let's gooooo! My goal is to graduate from hand spinning wool to using a spinning wheel. Who knows? Maybe next year I'll be processing my own fleece!

yes! My goal is to graduate from watching Cammy's you tube content to actually owning a few sheep! (I'm thinking 4, yes, just 4!) Then I want to learn to process fleece, spin and knit with it!

Great shear Cammy! So accurate and careful, but at the same time not hanging about. Always watch your shearing videos...and your lambing videos, and your scanning videos....

@@ronaldshank7589 it's probably just that they don't have the time. Cammy has 2 kids and 2 jobs. He has his own sheep raising business, he shears other people's sheep by the thousands, and he has a night job, that I think might be in law enforcement. He doesn't have any time. I also think that he edits his own videos. I follow another guy, Mentour Pilot, who also has 2 jobs and 2 kids. And a wife in law school.
