Lebron Disrespectfully EXPOSES Zion's Limitations

This is how Lebron disrespectfully exposed Zion’s limitations. Look at him parked all the way under the basket waiting for Williamson and baiting him to shoot any kind of shot.
Just look at this, Zion has the ball but he doesn’t know what to do with it. Valanciunas comes over to set a screen but they’re all too deep and now it’s just crowded. Eventually you got this awkward barreling right into Lebron and this is an offensive foul.
Seriously, look at him going left and right without any idea of what to do. The terrible spacing here doesn’t help him either, so he just has to flip it back to Ingram who forces up a contested jumper. Awful possession.
The game plan was simple. James goes under on all screens and waits for him at the rim, while Davis meets him right here just to not allow Zion to get a head of steam.
And all of these blunders where he runs over people for the offensive foul is based on the fact that he doesn’t have a back to the basket game, no baby jumper, no hooks or a fadeaway shot.
His main and only weapon in the half court is to get a head of steam, take off and adjust midair for the layup or the dunk.
And you can see that it was the exact same scenario in the second half as well, only this time he knows a charge is coming so he tries to avoid it and thus misses the layup.
Williamson was also a complete no show on defense. This type of jogging back while his guy is wide open, and knocks down a three pointer is inexcusable.
Check out this freeze frame of all 5 of his teammates pointing where he should be, and where he actually is-all the way on the other side, and of course Prince hits this one from downtown.
And then right here, he just watches D’Angello Russell go by him all the way to the rim for the layup without any kind of effort to stop him.
The inside the NBA crew criticized him heavily first of all for the shape he’s in, but then also for his overall mentality and lack of aggression.
And how can you not criticize him, when he only shot 8 times for 13 points. 8 shots from your franchise cornerstone in an elimination game like this is unacceptable.
So now compare all of this, along with his postgame comments saying that he’s gotta be more aggressive and look- compare that to the intensity of almost a 39 year old Lebron.
Not only did he come ready to fight from the very first possession, he kept the intensity throughout the entire time, and not just on offense, but look at him doing the little things grabbing Zion on the boxout not allowing him to even see the basketball.
Check out the energy here on this rebound and tell me did this game mean to him or not.
And this is possibly the best example. Watch where Lebron is and where Zion is, and notice the contrast of one guy going full speed and the other acting like this is a scrimmage.
And when you display this kind of passion throughout the entire game, then the basketball gods award you and here come the heat checks.
Lebron and the Lakers deserve to be in the finals as they expose another western contender. They did the same thing to Phoenix the last game and I explained exactly what they did. Check it out here. Talk to you in the next one. Peace out.

I've been a big Zion supporter in the past but this game was utterly pathetic. The contrast between what Lebron brought to the game and Zion was so glaring I have completely lost any faith that Zion has what it takes to be considered one of the league's best players. I doubt I will waste time tuning into league pass to watch this guy half ass it again.

His career seems to be a path to a role player right now. His talent is so high but I think that right now he is in a weird spot where more of his game on one hand would be opened up if he just developed a stronger mid range and post up game, and on the other hand his game would also open up more if he could get his overall weight under control. I think literally either of these things happening would mean he becomes unstoppable but he cant seem to get there just yet. It really sucks it feels like we have been waiting for the weight development forever now which idk why his trainers aren't more on him or maybe he is just that negligent, but I think this is the most obvious thing he can do to instantly become so much better. Lebron literally had went from a 280lb player to a 250lb player for similair reasoning. His game was more developed however his playstyle definitely needed that weight drop so that he could withstand the constant impacts he puts on his body with that playstlyle.

I am a huge Zion fan. Been in awe of him since his jr year. One of the best college players I've ever seen. But to see him not add low post scoring, a midrange, become a better perimeter defender, and become a more explosive running athlete is sad and disappointing. He seemed so passionate at Duke. Now just plays so content. I hope a mentor brings the best out of him.

You're talking about a 39 year old. Who's still super athletic? So that age doesn't count to this guy. And actually Michael Jordan was average and 26 points like the first 20 games during the wizards. It had a team and playoff sea light top 3. And then it's neat blue eye. So everybody he's cooking around that time. Averaging 2628 points. What you gonna tell them when you're doing it to the whole players. There's exceptions, Lebron is blown by everybody. Zion is in the best shape of his NBA career....so far. There's still room for improvement. He's always gonna look big in his uniform unless he slims down to the size of a SF or SG. Portis...Kyle Lowery...PJ Tucker.. they all look big. Zion wants OUT. He said in a press conference a few weeks ago that he's trying to go along with the "program". His lack of effort

It’s true Lebron rest in some possessions, or use mind game, like letting a 32% 3pts shooter shoot a 3, but even when he rest he is still an above average defender because 1- He is a basketball savant who know how to position himself, his reflex and anticipation is crazy and 2- He is still 6’9 250+ with a 7ft wingspan and a 35-40 inches vertical (It was 44 in his prime so i guess its around 35-40 now), so he is still an elite help defender, an elite post defender, only big men like Jokic or Sengun can bully him in the post, and he is one of the best communicator and leader. You can’t expect a 38 yo to play defense AND carry the offense at the same time in every regular season games, even prime Harden or Doncic couldn’t/can’t do that, but when its the Playoffs ? Or an important game ? Lebron is still an elite defender i don’t care what you say if you think he isn’t you listen to much ESPN, instead you should listen to the best and less biased analyst like Ben Taylor from Thinking Basketball, and according to him Lebron was still a Top 5 wing defender in 2020, really close to a prime Kawhi, A PRIME KAWHI !!!

Spot on. I'm actually amazed he's gotten this far just driving hard left. A midrange shot would definitely expand his game. I think Zion has a huge chance of becoming a major bust for all that freak athleticism, and pretty good finishing instinct. But he’s so unpolished when it comes to scoring options like a kid range, and finishing a little bit outside the rim. At 23 that’s crazy. Yes he still has a lot of time, but it doesn’t look like he’ll ever get to do that with his body. I thought for a little bit, maybe the last three months that Zion might be trying to do a James harden, but then realized he might legitimately not be able to lose weight. I mean I know it’s hard, but he has millions to spend on to do that. So I think he’s not even trying to force himself out and lose weight, I think he just might not be able to. I don’t like hating on players, especially someone like Zion who doesn’t talk a lot of shit, but I think he really needs to figure himself out int be next 2-3 years or else I think he’ll be out of the league by 30 with his injury history and proneness, plus his athleticism most likely leaving much earlier with the constant injuries from being overweight and having constant injuries. Basically he’s in a really bad situation where he could really fall off.

Because your stats are wrong, just watch Lebron Game 6 highlights vs Celtics 2012, 45pts on 90% jumpshot, watch Lebron game 2 vs Raptors in 2018 when he broke the record of fadeway made in a game with 6, IN A PLAYOFFS GAME, or watch him destroying the Piston in the clutch in 2007 with 4-5 jumpshot. I mean you’re just a casual at this point, Lebron shot 57% from 3 in the 2014 Finals, 41% from 3 in the 2020 Finals .. He shot 40% from 3 in 2013, and again 40% from 3 this season, he just went 4/4 from deep against the Pelicans, and when i say deep its logo range, stop acting like Lebron is Giannis or Shaq lol, Lebron literally has the exact same efg% on jumpshot as Kobe, 43%, wich is great but not elite like KD (50%) or Dirk (49%). I mean just go watch his crazy heat check vs the Bucks in 2009 when he scored 16pts in 2min with 2-3 logo shots, Lebron is a shooter man, not the best, but he can straight up kill you with jumpshot when he is hot, watch that game 6 vs Celtics in 2012, with his career on the line, after losing and chocking in the 2011 Finals, and now down 2-3, he killed them jumpshot after jumpshot like a serial killer, Lebron has the most winning buzzer beater ever in the playoffs, 5, look at the one against the Raptors in 2018 game 3, a running floater bank shot, or the one against the Magic in 2009, a 3pts shot, or the one against Chicago, a corner 3 and he drew this play for himself, and that’s already as much buzzer beater as the 2nd, MJ, and Kobe only got 1 … Lebron also has the 2nd most clutch shot in the regular season ever but he’ll soon pass Kobe, and he also lead the NBA in 4th quarter points at 39 yo 😂😂😂 GOAT 🐐 That’s why they don’t do the same, because he isn’t the same, there’s level to this shit, Lebron isn’t Zion 😂

Just to add to these, 2007 finals vs SAS they did that to lebron, that's why he worked on his jump shot. 2011 Mavs did it to him as well, he worked on his back to the basket game with hakeem.
