LeBron James wins KIA 2012-2013 NBA MVP Award!

The NBA announced on Sunday that Miami Heat forward LeBron James was the recipient of the KIA 2012-2013 MVP award! Now check out some of the highlights from his incredible season as he averaged 26.8 PPG, 8.0 RPG & 7.3 APG to capture the 4th MVP of his career!

Well deserved. He impacts the game on so much even if he doesn't score because of his great passing and rebounding abilities. Defensively he is the best player on his position. He is just complete DOMINANCE on the floor.

It's a very close call, but imo I think Nash won those MVP's b/c he contributed on a slightly less/equal level to Kobe but on a far more efficient pace. And at the end of the day, the most important stat to any player are wins, and during those years Nash was winning more than Kobe.

He's #3 all-time in points per game, your averages shows how consistent you are and the consistency of your game is what elevates you to greatness..thats why MJ is revered as the greatest..his body of work is nearly unmatched. Lebrons body of work over shadows Kobes by a large margin.

Probably the best small forward ever to play in the league. A rare combination of talent, size, speed, and athleticism. Has an excellent offensive skillset clearly evident this season: above .560 FG and .400 from 3, does not to shoot 30x a game (that's you Melo) to score 30 points. Able to defend any player at all positions. Even Scottie Pippen would have a hard time trying to guard this guy. Defhnitely the best player in the past 10 years.

Well deserved, I remember when some people were worried about voting fatigue but in fairness, when you look at this year alone and forget about what he won previously, he hands down had the best effect on his team during the reg. season. I like Carmelo but seriously Lebron should have been the unanimous MVP.

I'm happy for him but I honestly think that Carmelo should have gotten it this season. Miami had a pretty healthy team this season and has multiple great players, including Dwayne Wade another franchise player. Carmelo drastically improved over last season not only in his defensive capabilities, but his offensive. He shared the ball more and still manages to get the scoring title. Plus he was injured early on in the season. For those reasons I think it should have been him. Just my opinion.

There's no denying that he deserved this award. Yet I'm still a bit conflicted about him being on the Heat with DWade and pretty much a stacked roster. I'm not complaining that he left Cleveland, but I'd like to see him to go to a team that's not so stacked and win a championship then. Not a terrible team, but an average team. It would give him a challenge and we'd see if he could rise to the occasion. I think only then he could reach his full potential and be put as one of the greatest.

he is, he has better shot selection....you don't see him jack up a 30 footer against 3 defenders with seconds in the shot clock, he is a pass first in that situation and he doesn't settle for more than 20 shots a game when its not his night and instead he facilitates more. numbers don't lie...

No one in the league today matched MJ's prowess in the post-season, not Lebron, not Kobe, no one. MJ was consistently dominant. As for playoff performances, the 2011 finals and the 2007 finals are the only two really bad series Lebron had. Outside from that he has been great in the playoffs and pulled off many great performances.

That dunk means a lot because Terry was trash talking before the game. He said that the Heat win-streak was not impressive and he has always been a rival for the Heat. That's why that dunk felt sweet the moment it happened.

If you lead your team to a 27 game winning streak (2nd best in NBA history), you deserve the MVP. KD did a great season including his percentages of 50-40-90, Melo won the Scoring Title but he had an irregular season, despite of the fact that he ended it well, CP3 did it great but not for the MVP award, and Kobe did whatever he could at his age to classify the Lakers to the PO, but his team was far from the first places. Congrats LeBron, the best player in 2012-13 by far.

LeBron is a 6'8 athletic freak not only in the world of basketball but among sportsmen. Kobe is just athletic and fits the same stature and build as other players out there. Battier can guard Kobe as he is two inches taller, with a longer wingspan and is a DEFENSIVE specialist.

Kobe is the most skilled offensive player, very good defensive player too, For Lebron he's an overall type of player. score,pass,rebound, defend guards and even forwards. amazing talent for his size makes a lot of mismatch especially he has the ability to low post and knock 3pts.

yea i know, I acknowledged his 3 pt game is elite. We still haven't seen him shoot the midrange shot consistently though, probably because he can take it to the rack against the weaker D any time. Whats with calling people names on youtube haha, I probably am a fool though :)

Lebrons mid range and 3 point shooting was among the best this season you fool. Last season and the years before you could have made that argument but this year his jump shot has improved by a ton.
