The Los Angeles Lakers dropped their third game in a row last night against the Phoenix Suns. LeBron James finished with 33 points and Russell Westbrook had 22, but no other Lakers starter had more than three points. The Lakers ultimately couldn’t keep up with the Suns and would end up losing 108-90. Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe discuss whether the Lakers are in danger of missing the playoffs.

I don’t think Demar and Buddy Hield would’ve been possible. But Buddy Hield, Caruso and KCP instead of Westbrook would’ve been enough to make them the top dogs of the west. Demar is a good idea but just not realistic.

Skip low key forgets mavs did not scout reaves and he gets open shots cause russ bron davis melo so he's not that good and he's no closer or one on one player he's an off ball player who gets open looks cause or doubles and plays off stars like a damion lee or a kcp...he's a smaller luke walton...melo is hot this year so while he's no longer paid or seen like a star he has hot half where you have to guard him leaving guys open even when he's off ball

The Lakers had chance after chance to make this roster better before the season started. 1. Traded Kuzma, KCP, Montrezl for Russ instead of getting Buddy Hield. 2. Didn't re-sign Alex Caruso and sign Demar Derozan. 3. Signed role players who can't shoot or defend ex: Carmelo, Malik Monk, Wayne Ellington, etc

As a lifetime laker fan I feel bad for Lebron having to go through this in year 19 but this is the mess he created so he’s gotta live with it. Everybody knew Russ was going to be a bad fit. He’s a turnover machine who can’t shoot or play defense. What happens if nunn comes off injury and plays like a legit top 15 pg? Would russ be willing to come off the bench? I doubt it. That’s really the only hope for this year. Tht is also having a bad season. He’s similar to russ in thinking he always has the green light and he’s been awful on def with dumb fouls and too many bad shooting nights. When healthy the best starting lineup is going to be Lebron AD Nunn Monk Howard. We can have monk off bench and start Bradley if we prefer more def on starting 5. Russ needs to come off bench or get rid of him for anything. That’s our only chance.

Russ Melo and bron have been the only consistent ones… Russ is literally playing well and he’s getting hated on it the only problem is his turnovers he’s playing good on ball defense he’s cutting off the ball and he’s shooting 50% from corner 3. Lebron Melo and Russ are literally the only reason the don’t have 4 wins everyone else has played horrible THT is awful. Monk is inconsistent mainly because of his minutes tho. At this point I’m putting a paper bag over my head and waving the flag on this season 🏳️. So disappointed in this team and it’s not even the losses at this point it’s how there losing. They have no chemistry and when Lebron goes out in the 3rd quarter if we’re down 5-10 points I know we’re going to be down 15-20 points when he comes back in. It’s getting really hard to watch.
