- Chimpanzees have much better short term memories compared to humans. Humans traded short-term memory (away) in order to get other evolutionary traits, I am thinking: Planning, forecasting (predicting the future), reasoning, analogy e.t.c kzfaq.info/get/bejne/sNmIg5uiyqyqZnU.html - The chunking bit appears to have a lot of weight to it (Miller's Magic Number 7/ Plus Minus 2). There's got to be a reason for Miller's paper to be the most cited paper in psychology. - That being said, I think we should come up with new kinds of tests, realizing the fact that our short-term memory recall isn't so great. I am not sure what those tests are going to be. But they would involve spatial and temporal elements.

The learning underwater study was not replicated by Jaap Murre 2021 (Royal Society Open Science)

The Royal Society Publishing has since added an addendum to the Murre study saying that "this study was not a successful replication of Godden & Baddeley."

Question/ the course is on spring 2011 (look title up Lec 10...) but in a slide 42:54 min you will see that there is mention fo the twin towers collapses (11/9 attak).
