Hebrew-speaking teachers a lot of the times lack good English to explain like Dr. Barrick does. Thank you Dr. B for your very clear and repetitive (for our benefit) explanation. We appreciate you.

To word for dog, kelev, can be broken down into "ke lev", meaning "like a heart." Dogs are all loving animals, pure heart. When Adam named everything, he named them based on their qualities. A dog's quality is that it is all loving.

Tebel Shaw Animated is one thing, but there’s full-on screaming sometimes. I’m going to assume this is the famous Dr. Farnell.

good lessons but get better pronunciation from native Hebrew speaker
@adamtippett47025 жыл бұрын
I know this is a really old post but I still feel I should inform you that Dr. Barrick is not using Sephardic, Ashkenazi, or Yemeni pronunciation but rather a reconstruction of the language
@maxmauer33534 жыл бұрын
As he points out many times in previous lectures: the pronunciation used here is not for conversational or even classical purposes, it is strictly for Biblical Hebrew.
