@35:59 Is the heat transfer coefficient accounted for the one surface of the chip or its two surfaces already?

The lecture are superb! But I have a problem with the example, witch state A=1cmx0.5cm i the drawings. Why is the A then set to 0.8cm^2 in the eq (at time 42:25)?

VINES -COMEDY Convection is something that occurs because of the flow of fluid , a fluid with high temperature gets heated up and moves away and is replaced by cold fluid which in turn gets heated up and the cycle goes on . Now if the velocity is more then the rate at which this cycle is happening is also more , therefore more heat transfer happens hence high value of convective heat transfer coefficient occurs

At 7:55 where he writes the for q of A in the z direction he says "q by A in the z direction is equal to minus k dt dz r theta z." But he didn't write it on the paper? so is it part of the equation or not?
@Kafzilla
@Kafzilla 8 жыл бұрын
What he wrote is correct. But now you have equations for r, theta and z.
@5k_shivam177
@5k_shivam177 5 жыл бұрын
No it is not a part of eq.. He jst summarized r, theta and z co-ordinate system at end.
