I really enjoy this essay, even if you must use the Furtwangler 1942 recording, which should be buried forever on moral grounds! To be fair, these clips may come from the other recordings, which are fine. But, I personally still baulk at sharing a listening experience with a bunch of Nazi officials. I don't blame Furtwangler or the musicians necessarily, but I look at it as an illegal triple jump - nice, but, sadly must be discarded.
