Dude literally nobody goes into as much detail as you do in your videos and it’s very much appreciated!

Firstly, I love this channel and it has helped me a lot throughout the years. I wanted to add something that I think might be helpful to some. I followed these instructions to the letter tonight.....but was still getting the hyper-flash. I found that I had to bridge the white/black wire WITH the yellow wire on the driver side and the white/black WITH the blue on the passenger side. The blue and the yellow wires are the ones you're supposed to ignore, per the video. Ones I switched the wires, no more hyper-flash. It may just be my model (2017 Sport), but I thought this might help some that would be scratching their heads when the resistors didn't work. (if someone already pointed this out, I apologize). Thanks for the content, this channel is a must for any Tacoma owner!

I installed today and WOW, what a transformation. I did not add the resistors to the front turns and am not experiencing any hyper flashing. Great MOD and thx again!

Hey noticed at :35 you say you to remove both of those lower 10mm bolts. Only need to remove the lower one of those 2 . The other isn’t attached to the tail light assy. So to clarify, remove one bolt at the top and one at the bottom, leave the middle alone.

JFYI - the wiring instructions may be incorrect. I have a 2020 and I had to bridge yellow to white/black (driver side) and blue to white/black (pass side).

On my 2022, the yellow and blue are power for turn signals. I ran a 6 ohm resistor parallel between yellow and white (left) and blue and white (right). The dark green wire is power for the running lights

Great video, it helped me a lot! I have a factory built 2008 Toyota Tacoma and I recently replaced my headlights with LED bulbs. I was getting the hyper-flashing across both front and rear turn signals. After purchasing LED Load Resistors from Napa Auto Parts and watching your video, the hyper-flashing was fixed to a normal flash. (I thought I was going to need to add resistors to all four corners of turn signals, but I only ended up having to add them to the rear (non LED bulbs; but it corrected the front LED bulbs as well). Thanks again!

TACOMA 2019 DRIVER SIDE YOU NEED TO PUT IT WITH YELLOW WIRE!!!! I spent a huge amount of time troubleshooting but that wire fixed it for me, leave the green alove

Thanks for the video, bought led bulbs for my tacoma tail lights which did not have any instructions on how to wire them. I used a meter and thought i had the right wire, apparently not. You make it look so easy with the detailed instructions on the installation. It makes it easier for me to do these things and spend money. Have you ever had any issues with splicers not providing the current? And can you please provide the link for the lights?

Great video just 1 question your not having any problems with hyperflashing with your headlights on right? I’m having that problem but I also saw on Tacomaworld that they spliced the yellow wire instead of the green one? If your not having any problems ill just follow your lead thanks!

I have the same setup: truck, front bulbs, rear bulbs and resistors and this didn't work for me. Still getting hyperflashing with headlights on. The only thing I can think of is that I have HID headlights. Should I install resistors on both sides in the rear?

Okay fellas here’s my own experience with this. I have a 3rd gen 2020 Tacoma SR5. First, I installed the JDM ASTAR amber LED’s in both front turn signals. They are said to have a built in resistor. However, they still hyper flashed while the headlights were on. I gather many have had this same experience from my readings. Next, I decided to get LED ‘s for my break lights and rear turn signals along with Sylvania resistors to fix hyper flash problem all around. I was told by local lighting experts, online experts and even Toyota that I would need an individual resistor for every hyper flashing bulb in order to eliminate hyper flash all around. As a result, I bought 6 resistors🤦🏻‍♂️. Next, I installed all my LED’s . JDM’s pre-installed in the front and Sylvania ZEVO’s in the break lights and rear turn signals. Now to eliminate the hyper flash, I used the method described in this video. Sorry guys, this didn’t work for me. I didn’t appear to work for a lot of other guys either. Which is strange because I have the exact same wiring set up. After just about giving up, I read a few other reviews that discovered you need to connect your 1st resistor to the “yellow “ and “black/white” wires on the rear driver side. Then you must connect the 2nd resistor to the “Blue” and “black/white” wires on the rear passenger side. This will also solve the previous hyper flash issue to the front turn signals with no additional resistors needed. Once again I have a 3rd gen 2020 Tacoma SR5 and it took me forever to get a solid solution to this issue. The speculation I have for why it may have worked in this video is that the JDM style of LED’s used in the rear of this vehicle may have already had built in resistors and canceled out the hyper flash on their own. And to be clear, you only need “two” resistors in the rear lights. Anyway, this was my experience with this enigma. Hope this info will help someone else sooner than it did me. 2001 C5 Corvette. i replaced the front bulbs with LED's because the heat was melting the housings. After replacing all four rear 3056's w/ LED's, I got hyperflash. I installed the relay and all is well except... When the tail lights are on the brake lights work fine, yet when I use the turn signals the rears light up but don't flash and the fronts do!?? Ideas?

So I bought the same resister for my 2019 TRD Pro and I still get hyper flashing. Any suggestions? I watch the video 5 time before I installed both resisters. It works for the hazards when the lights are on but not the turn singles.

So you only need one resistor for each side even if you have the front led turn signal and the rear turn signal

Chief simple way is to get the main wire to extra bulb holder that from there get the current directly to led bulb holder rather than get high price resistor . What you need is extra bulb holder and normal bulb paint black thats it

@Taco Twonz. Just completed the LED upgrade and still having the LED hyperflash turn signals but only with front lights on. Works perfectly with the DRL. Anyone else have this issue? Hyperflash no with DRL, Hyperflash yes with front lights on (driving at night). Considering adding the resistor to the brake lights also and thinking this may be the fix.
