Great video BD! Just watching this has helped me understand this crazy TCL TV I got from a friend that was bad out of the box in 2021. No backlight at times. Led's tested good with tester and would flash at start up or sometimes TV would act normally. I even pulled panel to verify led's were good. B/L on signal always there too and it was losing the boost voltage for the led's. Right now TV is working as it should for two days? Now I know where to look. Can't believe how cheap TCL TV's are built. You are the man!

One thing in our favor is used boards etc. are in abundance & are not too expensive for most units with some interchangeable etc. but many times the issue is the bulbs.

How can I send you a picture of my TV so you can tell me if it has a crack? It does not look like the pics of cracks I have seen. It looks different so not sure exactly what is wrong with it. You are the best for TV repair. Love your approach, knowledge, all of it. You are a great teacher and you make it easy to follow

What brand and model of an oscilloscope do you recommend for us that want to take your course ?

Any "bench-top" scope with at least 100 Mhz measurement and at least 1 Giga sample's per second (GS) refresh rate.
