I will NEVER forget when her opportunity to sing "Precious Lord" at the Grammys was STOLEN by Beyonce though she was the one who sang it in the movie. That was her moment. The interviews from that time are so sad, she was so gracious but you could see the sadness in her eyes when they asked her why she wasn't the one singing.

Ledisi is one of my favorite vocalist/singer/person ever. Her personality and her in concert is awesome, I’ve saw her so many times. And I still don’t think she gets all the recognition she deserves. Her voice is like none other and she always gives me chills. And she grew up in my part of the woods, we are always so proud of her. She better stop touching Terrell, Lmaoo you know how he gets, he gone “forget his situations.” 😂😂😂😂

Justin Mitchell Yes it is! I've loved Ledisi for years. Been to see her "live" 4 times and once when she came off the stage stood in my face and vocally "let my azz have it". It was/is the best concert I've ever attended (and I've been to alot of them, trust me on that one). However you've got to listen to Jean Carn do "Ain't no Way" She recorded it in like 82 I believe on Motown and she does lead and all background on it. Check it out!!!! Out

I always loved Ledisi but when she was on Black Girls Rock and she sung the last part of Four Women by Nina Simone that solidified my love for her. I knew she was a force to be reckoned with and the fact that it was a last minute request for her to do it, pure talent!

This is why I rocks w/ my big sister, Ledisi. She don't get on stage and do all of that riffing and running and carryin' on. Nowadays it's overkill. And it don't even make sense. I see singers just running on every word of the song w/o an ounce of soul. I just love Mr. Daryl Coley. His voice was/is everything.
