It's a maladaptive psychological distraction from deeper rooted issues that ultimately leads to being truly alone, always. I hope you have other emotionally intimate platonic relationships with legitimate depth. It's hard to say everyone HAS to have a romantic partner, but there does have to be some deep human connection of some sort.

Years ago I spent most of my life in the bar, felt empty inside, like the girl who took my heart didn't care she had taken it. Listened to this song multiple times nightly, putting Scotch away like it was water(Johnny Walker infact). Ya never forget the way a song makes you feel when you're down and out.
