I would normally say that is true, but in this day and age, especially in the mainstream country music scenes, alot of people DO NOT search out what they think they may like, the simply take what is presented.. SO in that case, when an artist slips through the cracks like Sonny, then people need to know she is out there.... It is promotion and a record company getting behind an artist. jmo

Seems to me the way things work in music and Hollywood are about the same. It's who you know, what you have to offer them, sex, worship, perfect beauty and talent? It's a fickle business. My dad is an actor and he has told me many stories of how it works. Sad really.

I heard this song after this guy I fell for led a different life from what he told me. He told me he and his girlfriend have been unhappy for years and that he stayed with her because she went crazy every time he tried to leave her. He lied. He told her I was someone who had a thing for him and wouldn't leave him alone. She reached out to me, and we talked about it and thankfully she forgave me. We both ended our relationships with the dirty liar, and now we're friends. Funny how life surprises you. But I still love this song. And I'm happier now.

As a country music artist. You are always looking for that sound that will just make your heart stop, and always listening for lyrics that will make you stop and think. When I was driving in my truck from work to home. This song came through the speakers, and I nearly drove off the road, cause I was floored by not only her voice. But her sheer honesty in her lyrics. We need more artists like Sunny Sweeny.

A few months ago he came running back to me saying they were through, and that he's always loved me. I FINALLY gave in and gave him another chance, but deep down I knew he didn't know what or whom he wanted. Well he dumped me again, and ran back to her. Moral of the story don't date exs.

I'm a fan of classic country music. However, this song is FANTASTIC. In a world where most of the modern country available is garbage, this is a hidden masterpiece that should be played many years from now, and used as an example of what country should be.

I love this song. I heard it last night on the radio before falling asleep, I'd normally forget a song I hadn't heard before at that time, or any time. But I was crying thinking of the one I love, she is my everything. I don't even like country, I had a headache till this song came on, for country gives me headaches. But this song, I love it. It is just perfect.

Sunny Sweeney and your band-I am 42 years old and remember in the 80's and 90's when country was in its hayday. I am still alive now when "new country" is nothing but pop with a sound board violin. Between you and Billy Carrington, you *almost* saved country music. I am still stunned that the industry had the sack to produce you. This song is almost late 70's sounding, and is a spot on, tear producing country song. Thank you my darlin' for writing and singing this song. Because of you, I still have hope for a resurgence in true country.

This song for me brings back memories that could be a country song. In Oct. 2009, I enrolled on Facebook. I got in touch with all my old classmates. One that paid me particular attention was one of my bullies in school. He said he was going through a divorce, and we started texting. I thought everyone grows up, and boy was I wrong. He said that once his divorce was final, he wanted to be with me, and my four kids (2 of which are disabled.) He came down on 9/30/10 to Houston from IN. He said he had ordered my engagement ring. He brought me something he said he had for a long time...a Gene Simmons doll since we were both KISS fans. I invited everyone from my work on 10/3/10 for our engagement BBQ. He received a phone call the next night stating he had to return to IN for a DUI charge. We looked at a house for us, and he left for IN on 10/10/10 which should have been a clue. He returned on 10/17/10. I noticed he was irritable, and different. On 10/26/10 after I arrived home from a college course, I asked what was wrong? He said that he regretted his divorce, he hated having 4 kids around, and he couldn't handle it. I found out later through a friend that while in IN he had screwed his ex and told her he wasn't taking care of my retard son. My son is Asperger's with an IQ of 140. He told his ex he'd be back soon; I was just a vacation. His son called me TEXASS. I had to tell my young kids he was leaving. I thought I'd never get over it. Kellie Pickler's song "Didn't you know how much I loved you," also says it well. 3 yrs. later I tried it again with another classmate. I moved back to IN with my girls and found myself in an abusive relationship. I got my girls out first, then me. He gave me a choice, "Your kids or me, you can't have both." Last year I almost died in the hospital, and I hallucinated a lot about my ex-husband. 3 weeks later he went out exactly as he always said he would, "Suicide by cop." Kelsey Ballerini's song "Peter Pan," describes him. I haven't tried any relationship since 2014.

I have never - to my knowledge - been the other woman. I always have asked a man if he was married or if he had a girlfriend if he even starts to try to talk to me. Some have answered - "Well, I am sorta married or yes, I have a girlfriend, kinda..." I will shut them down right then and there. Because how you get a man is how you're going to loose them.

I'm very happy to see that a real country music artist is on the scene to show Taylor and few others what country music really is about. Nashville lost their title of "country music capitol" to Texas a long time ago.

HOLY CRAP! This song is AMAZING! This sounds VERY similar in style to "Lady Antebellum - Need You Now." I hope this Country Song crosses over into the Pop Charts. We need MORE people to convert to Country Music. :) Oh and yes, Sunny Sweeney REALLY does sound like Natalie Maines from the Dixie Chicks. It sounds ALMOST exactly like her.
