It was murder. Jury accepted self defence as it was claimed Duffy had a gun. He didn't.

It will have been firmly established whether a gun was involved when the emergency services attended the scene, A jury bases its decision on evidence. not hearsay and barrister can't just 'claim' something to be true and not validate it.

@@daxiom6119 No. The defence was that "Duffy sometimes carried a gun". It was accepted that Allison didn't know if he had a gun or not that night, even though Duffy had not produced a gun. There was no gun

I don't profess to know much about it all, and was not there etc, but Lee Duffy was well known with the police and I guess "self defence" was accepted given who the other guy was fighting. And that Lee was fighting like hell. It's not like the guy just ran up and stabbed some innocent bloke stood minding his own business.

I live in Middlesbrough but that area I just don't like.... Bad vibes there and I never knew he died on that street. My mother was nearly killed just off that road in 1978 in a motorcycle accident.

Parmo was created by Nicos Harris, a Greek American navy chef. He was wounded off the coast of France, and brought to the United Kingdom to be treated at what is now James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough.
