I don’t think it’s just Koreans though. I live in Australia and I know lots of people who think the same way. The only reason I knew was because I grew up in Hong Kong which is very international and I had friends from Africa, otherwise if I grew up in Australia I would have probably been just as ignorant.

Y'all are mad about them generalizing Africa and saying Koreans are the worst, but why is it that in western countries Asia is always seen as one generalized place too? It's almost as if... It's a general issue and not only koreans fault. Maybe just the whole world is ignorant. lol I live in South Africa and there are tons of channels lol. I live in an apartment in a city with my family. Not all of us Africans live in the desert in a tribe. I work at a clothing store too. A lot people think that America is just "United States of America" , so I see that people also think that Africa is the name of a country 😑, at school I was taught about all the continents. I don't mistake Asia for China, I know China is an Asian country. I kept waiting for him to mention which country did he go to, but all he kept saying was "Africa Africa" .. I wanted to scream it loud "Which African country did you go to?" but I guess he wouldn't even know.. how ignorant and disrespectful! Actually everything he said shows that he didn't even care to know about the people who recognized him that he said he was "grateful for" .. I'm quite disappointed actually that YJS didn't ask "which African country?". I wish Koreans would stop treating "Africa" like it doesn't matter and stop looking down on it. I actually get so mad when people say that all Asians are "the same" or when I tell someone about Korea and they insist "they're all Chinese". Every country and culture is unique and should be respected and recognized regardless.

I agree, they do have internet access and can "google" things, but at the same time Africa is HUGE. So many different countries with so many different ways of doing things, that's a lot to educate yourself about. Heck, I'm African and don't even know a lot about the majority of the other countries. So being ignorant of some things is okay, especially given how misleading a lot of information out there about Africa is (that part is obviously not okay) I'm just saying we can't really get mad everytime someone shows ignorance, but we can point it out and correct to them.

Everyone saying “how could you cheat on him! Out of all men, why him?!” It’s wrong to cheat on general and cheating has nothing to do with the person you’re cheating on. It’s really psychological. There was nothing he could do about it.

I am totally surprised that none of the people in the discussion made a correction that Africa is NOT a country but a continent which has 54 countries just like Europe or Asia. They need to understand and educated themselves and know not everyone from Africa are poor, Africa has a very rich culture. Africa has most things you will find in a country. Yes they are some countries in Africa that are deprived and need help. But show me a county in the world that doesn't have areas that are too deprived and need help. I mean this is the 21st century not the 1800s are people still thinking like that?

these guys need to do their research before they talk about africa like that smh. its the biggest continent, and many of the countries are quite wealthy. i noticed a pattern that korean people are very ignorant to other cultures, and like to assume things about them. and its a lot of them too. theyre super behind in education about other countries, cultres, and people. hell, all of korea needs a lesson on what the rest of the world is really like.
