I feel really bad for Sinisterra. Dude plays soo good and he is the future of the colombian national team. Leeds gives him the opportunity to play freely, and he excells at it. I know he can find another club like New Castle who is the up. I just dont want my man to become a benchwarmer as he has showm so much quality. Specially having him play in the wings with Luis Diaz for Colombia is a dream.

I honestly don't know what to say. I'm a neutral to Leeds and to PL as a whole but seeing this taking shape just seems so, sad. From Bielsa to Allardyce. Leeds went from having a real identity and a club you paid attention to, even despite sometimes having bad results, but they were there and had an aura about them. Now it's like they simply rolled back down to being the same bottom feeders as other numerous teams that you really don't pay any attention to as they are there to make up the numbers. Just another club that either teeters on the brink of relegation or just yo-yo's between leagues. Just, sad. Desperation is a stinky perfume. Good luck to Leeds fans. You will need it.

There is a whole massive aspect to this storyline which was absolutely missed. The prospect of a huge takeover by the 49’ers which is fully or mostly dependent upon the club being a premier league club. It would (or would’ve as it seems) made us one of the most valuable clubs in the prem.

Most of my thoughts do relate much more with the 49ers than for Leeds but I think the only thing that really matters is the whole takeover situation. The ownership of the 49ers went through a similar era of being a complete nutcase and success was not there despite the talent, but they’re now one of the better run teams in the NFL. If the new owners go with the lessons they’ve learned in the NFL, Leeds will be just fine, even if they do relegate, unless the deal falls through. If that happens, I dunno it doesn’t look good if they relegate.

It's an interesting decision. His style couldn't be more different than before, and theres not much time to train it. Lack of time so players unable to adapt was the main reason he gave for failing to keep west Brom up last time.

49ers fan here. Paraag Marathe was the guy in charge of keeping the NFL team under the salary cap (think FFP but everyone has the same number.) He will push them towards painful efficiency and probably redirect money into the academy and scouting.

I'm not sure the "doing something is better than nothing" argument holds any water. Sometimes teams need to consider and prepare for the worst case scenario and think long term. It's very unlikely Allardyce will want to stay if they do go down , yet had they stuck with Gracia and given him a summer then they would have had a much higher chance of going straight back up. (He won promotion with Almeria in the Segunda Division)

Now it’s a long shot but I can see Sam maybe working in this team. He could play them as a 4-5-1. With Tyler Adams be the deepest of the midfielders, with Roca being a box to box on the left, allowing Weston McKennie to be the highest of the midfielders allowing him to link up and try to win long ball that are the staple of an Allardyce team. The negatives to this is the defense and how the wingers are going to work in the formation but i could work.

At least under big Sam we know that we’ll always play two up front as opposed to having Bamford up top alone. I’ll also say that the football we’re going to see for the remaining games ain’t going to be pretty, but at least we’ll know that our best players, for example Willy Gnonto will be picked as a first team starter instead of him getting nine or ten minutes a game. Marching on together

Here is the issue I have with the Sam Allardyce Appointment. He only has 4 games to turn the worst defence in the League into one that can keep clean sheets, a team that isn't designed for his style of play...and is facing 4 teams (Manchester City, Newcastle United, West Ham United & Tottenham Hotspur) that are pretty desperate to beat them.

From a Leeds fan it’s been pure ignorance from the top to the bottom. The Jesse Marsch project failed MISERABLY, and they had no back up plan. In the meantime the business we have done has been awful. Our most expensive striker OF ALL TIME, doesn’t play. Aaronson does dick all. Sini is good but made of newspaper, it just goes on. Pure luck if we stay up AGAIN. Rotten to the core this club.

Aaronson doesn’t get the service, and Marsch wasn’t backed. He had to panic and signed some players that aren’t Leeds that led to a fan revolt. No matter we will stay up.

Failed miserably? What exactly were you expecting in a season after you barely survived a relegation scrap you were put in by Bielsa because he refused to change his system for a porous defense that was historically bad pace wise. With Marsch you were at least building something, he was recruiting talent that would have never come to Leeds under the same circumstances otherwise. You were sound defensively and you were comfortably staying ahead of the relegation pack through goal differential and weathering bad luck according to xG. Which is the most you could really ask for when your best scorer left you in the summer with no replacement for him. Jesse Marsch had y’all surviving until he could get his players fully integrated into the system he runs. Now you are lost without any direction.

Leeds could still survive depending on how dreadful Nottingham, Leicester and Everton are in the final 4 games of the season. Southampton are screwed either way though. Leeds has truly lost plot and even if they survive, they will still be fighting relegation for next season as well before the inevitable drop to the Championship. The squad are not good enough for Premier League football.

It shouldn't have come to this, but he's probably the best option we could get with four games left. Javi needed to go he clearly lost the players, but ultimately its not on Javi or Jesse or Big Sam if we still go down. It's on the board for totally fucking this up ever since we finished ninth its 90% on them.
