I am 12 turning 13 in July and I still listen to this song holding my hands up to my lord. My brother got taken away by child services and we're trying to get him back. My dad left when I was a baby. My stepdad is really rude and my mom tried her best to fight her drug addiction. They always fight and sometimes it gets physical. I've been heartbroken by this one boy and I feel my friends were never there for me. Then we started going to this church. This church saved my life. I got saved last year at this church and now I hope things will start getting better, I know they will because my savior Jesus above will always be there for me to walk me through everything . I started drinking when I was 16. I would drink at parties, but I also started drinking alone because I was unhappy, and I was in a lot of emotional pain all the time. My mom was very aggressive when I was younger, and my brother hated her and so did I. He started hanging out with shady people, he started failing all his classes, he was never home, and my parents fought all the time. I also ran away several times. I was always trying to figure out a reason as to why I was here or what the purpose of life was. So, I started looking at different philosophies, religions, and beliefs. When I was 18 after I was hungover, I got on my knees and I prayed for the first time. I asked if God was real that he would show me he was real because I couldn’t take it anymore. I was crying when I prayed for this. At that moment I felt a presence come over me like a wind. It was barely noticeable, but it was unlike anything in my life I had experienced up until that point. I was surprised when I felt it and I remember saying “what was that?” after that experience I pretty much forgot what happened and kept partying, until my senior year when I got arrested. After my arrest, my parents lost all their trust in me and I was expelled from high school. I was told never to come back. At that time, I felt afraid and hopeless. That’s when I started looking for God, and I prayed that he would reveal himself in my life and that he would give me signs. My prayers began getting answered so consistently that I couldn’t deny that God was doing something. It was mysterious and compelling. I ended up in Church and started reading the bible hours a day. I stopped hanging out with all my other friends because they were continually getting arrested. I was able to forgive my family and myself and to ask to be forgiven. I noticed how at Church people were judgmental and how they formed cliques but were afraid to be around anyone else different from them. It increased my faith because I realized Jesus was not like that and ever since I was young, I saw people as people regardless of who they were. After a while, it’s like I could see God's presence was in my life and then it felt like he wasn’t, and then he was, and then he wasn’t. One day I woke up and felt more depressed than I ever have in my entire life. I felt like I was dying on the inside. That night I prayed, and I said, God, I don’t see my life five years from now I'm going to die Jesus save me Lord, please save me. I was weeping when I said it and when I asked him to save me, I felt a presence inside of me like a heartbeat, and I felt it once like a pulse, and I said Lord please save me and I felt it again even stronger. It was like radiance. When I woke up the next morning, I had transformed everything felt brand new like I was a kid again. All my fears and all my racing thoughts everything was gone. I looked at my hands, and I said this can’t be real it’s impossible. When I looked at myself in the mirror, I saw a different person. I started praying, and the holy spirit became entirely real to me it was washing over me and inside of me. It was total love and peace, and I heard a voice but not an audible one, it was an inner voice. It said I am with you; I love you, I will never leave you, it’s done it’s finished. That was May 3rd, 2009, and ever since then I’ve followed God, I have seen many things change and many things I know wouldn’t have changed without faith and belief. I know what it’s like to be lost to feel you have no hope. Don’t ever think you’re stuck, or life can’t change because it can. My mom is a Christian now, Its night and day. Some of the things that went away during that period were severe anxiety and my addiction to alcohol. I’ve seen and experienced so many things that are miraculous and seen how God has worked in my life. When we ask God to forgive us for what we’ve done and turn away from our sins and wrongdoings and we believe in Christ's sacrifice everything changes. His word says if we confess with our mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in our hearts that he died and rose again we will have eternal life but not just life after death but abundant life in the present. Our sins are erased not only past, present, and future but our burdens and fears are lifted also. Our thoughts, our minds, our hearts, our souls are transformed and united with God and we know his spirit lives in us. If you seek, pray, and knock you will know JESUS IS KING!!! HE LIVES!

I'm 17 years old. I've struggled with many different sins that I don't really care to mention right now. I've been struggling, wondering if I am really a Christian, thinking about it on and off. I'm thankful to say, that God has delivered me from so much; depression, horrible music, my suicidal persona, and so much more. Back then, I couldn't imagine a life without my depression, I was afraid of happiness. I couldn't imagine life without sorrow, or sadness. I felt like I was slowly wasting away. I hated my life, I wanted to die. I got tempted to hit my head against my window as hard as I could, I even thought of braving a knife to the chest, but I was too scared, plus I already knew the gruesome fate that awaited me if I did. Therefore I resorted to a world I had created in my head, a world where I could do everything I wanted without having to go through it in real life. From suicide, to self harm, to several other things. I thought that no one cared about me. I used to envision myself walking into my Youth Group on crutches, my limbs broken and covered in stitches, and I would wonder how the other kids would respond to my predicament, would they care? Or would they just turn away and ignore me. I was sick of everything, I went to the world in my head to escape my reality, but as the years went by, it was slowly replacing my reality, to the point where I couldn't imagine parting with it. It was my drug, but it had side affects. I spoke with my mom about it, several times, and she even advised I give it up. I realized, that if I didn't give it up, I would go to hell. I had a battle with myself, it was the hardest choice I had ever made in my entire life. It took several days, but one day, I decided, I can't do this anymore. Not if I want to go to heaven. I gave it up, and never in my life had I felt such emptiness. I felt as if half of me had been torn away, it was the scariest feeling. The most horrible feeling I had ever experienced. I felt trapped, with nowhere to turn to, nowhere to go. I tried to console myself with music, but it just made things worse. And that's when I realized, I couldn't fill emptiness with more emptiness, if I really wanted to heal, I had to do more than give up my world, I needed God more than ever. I prayed several nights for deliverance from the withdrawals I was receiving, I cried when I got memories of that world, but I refused to go back, I kept telling myself, it's not worth my soul. I had that world for seven years, but I'm thankful to say, that within a few days and maybe even a week, God has healed and delivered me. I still occasionally receive memories, and temptation to return, but now, I give it to God without feeling any remorse. I'm so thankful that God has been there for me in my darkest moments, that he's always cared about me even when I didn't care for myself. That he loved me, even when I felt I didn't deserve it. If it weren't for him, I wouldn't be here. It took me awhile to accept my reality after parting with my dream world, but now, I'm thankful for my reality, because God is with me and he exists in this reality. In my other reality, there was no hope, I just wanted to die but I couldn't no matter how hard I tried. In this reality, I have hope. Thank you father, for setting me free. Thank you, for never leaving or forsaking me, THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!! Mere words, cannot express my gratitude, for having been delivered from such a nightmare. It's not always easy giving things up for God, Satan tries to tempt with things he knows is enticing to you, but whenever you feel like you don't want to give up whatever you feel you might need to, if God is tugging at your heart about something, and you find it hard to let go of, tell yourself, It's not worth my soul. Hell isn't worth my soul, NOTHING IN THIS WORLD IS WORTH MY SOUL! NOTHING IN THIS WORLD IS WORTH AN ETERNITY IN HELL!!! Why lose your soul for something temporary, when you can give it all up and enjoy a BLISSFUL ETERNITY!!! God bless!!! I love you all, and God does too! P.S. No matter what you're going through, no matter your circumstance, remember this- YOU ARE NOT ALONE!!! Let me tell you how amazing my God is! My cousin died from brain cancer almost 5 years ago. I have struggled with anxiety and depression every since then. Maybe 20 minutes I was so anger and depressed. I was asking why she was taken at only 12 and why is cancer even a thing because it is so horrible. All I could hear was the devil telling me to just end my life so the pain would go away. I knew that if something in my mind didn’t change I was going to end my life. I cried out to God asking him to meet me in the place I couldn’t pull myself out of. I begged him to just rap his arms around me and hold me. I started to calm down a little bit but I could still feel the devil attacking me. I put on this song as a way of focusing only on God and now all I can feel is God’s presence. He pulled me out of a place of anger and brought me joy in less then 20 minutes. I wouldn’t be here right now if it wasn’t for God showing up and pulling me out of a place I was stuck in.

My pet bird went missing a few days ago. we've been doing everything we can think of to find her and bring her home, but so far no luck. she's not yet a year old; she and i share a birthday, which is in a few days. she's my precious baby, and i love her and i miss her so much. my heart has been breaking over and over the last few days and i've cried more times than i can count as i've desperately searched and done everything i can to find her, while also fighting back fears of the worst. i was raised in the church but often struggle with my faith. even so me and my family have leaned heavily on God through this, we've all prayed so many times every day, whether it's alone or together. today i sat in prayer for a long time, pleading and begging with God as i've done so many times these days to bring my baby home soon and safe, and this song was put on my heart. waymaker: i believe He will make a way, whether that leads my bird home to us, or is to her, or someone else with a good heart who will return her to us. miracle worker: it's been days. she's a small, young, domesticated bird who doesn't know how to survive on her own. but our God is the God of miracles and i know he will work one to bring her home. promise keeper: God promises peace and joy to his people, and i know he will keep that promise and return this source of peace and joy to our lives. light in the darkness: this has without a doubt been one of the darkest, most traumatic experiences of my life. but i know God has been, is, and will be the light through this. "even when i don't see it you're working, even when i don't feel it you're working" i've been begging for a miracle for days, and yet my baby is still lost. but i know that even when i don't see it, He's working. even when i don't feel it, He's working. He's never stopped working. please, anyone who sees this, please pray for my baby bird's safe and quick return to us, amen
