I absolutely love the philosophy and agree with you. I started slowly 2 1/2 years ago with 20 minutes of yoga every day, and have built up to 60-120 minutes of yoga or calesthetics every day. I take 10-15 days off per year, but have had the patience and focus to add this routine into my daily life. At almost 42 years old, I never thought I could feel so strong and flexible. Anyone can do it! Just need the right mindset and teacher.

A guy I know is good at doing Horse Stance. But it is his Martial Arts Teacher that is impressive on this; he could maintain a Horse Stance for over 2 hours! My best time is 5 minutes; legs were burning in pain, and ached a bit for next couple days. So from my experience I can really appreciate how impressive it is that a person can maintain that pose for 2+ hours.

I watch each Pac Rim video, first on my phone, then on my computer (slowing down, taking screenshots, and writing notes), then on my TV to see it all in very large detail. Sharing. Lee Weiland inspired pre-workout warm up. 1. Pull ups (5 sets of 5) 2. Marching (20) 3. Hollow body holds (100 seconds) 4. Superman hold (100 seconds) 5. Splits (am still working on this) 6. Pull ups 7. L-sit (reps and static) 8. V-stand (reps and static) 9. 1-arm hang (60 seconds) 10. Pull ups or chin ups 11. Side plank marches 12. "Pike to pop talls" (pike > push up position > push up > push up over spin > lift one leg > over spin > push up > pop tall) 13. Pull ups 14. Mobility drill (not sure what it's called) Thanks, Coach. Incorporating more and more into my calisthenics training and when I get my $68k debt paid off, I'll book a call. Until then, training still needs to happen.

When I was 9-13 I was fencing and our teacher made us do static training exercises and I totally forgot about it until seeing this. I remember how intense it was. I’ll give it a go now in adulthood and see what I’m still made of! (I have thighs of steel which I still attribute to my youth fencing, all the rest of my body is pretty weak)

Mr. Weiland, I am so admired by your videos and your philosophy in general. I found out your channel less than a month ago and I can’t let even a day going away without watching on of your videos. I am the age of 42 and I am still in passion with the sport, especially gymnasticas, acrobatics, mainly body weight training. I would dare say that now I feel even stronger and better compared to my 20s and 30s and I not planning to stop it even after some injuries I had due to stupid things I used to do in an attempt to quickly reach my goals. Now I am somewhere at the intermediate level of my bodyweight routine. I slowly started to recover my straddle planche and the press to handstand movement but I still have some gaps and things that I miss. I would like to discuss with you my goals and my current body state so I would better orient myself and make it safer and easier to reach my goals. Thank you in advance!

I’ve been holding hollow body, hangs, handstands, and horse stance 2x a week to absolute failure, and the results are insane. My back feels absolutely pristine. I can only hold about 3 minutes on each and I already feel amazing. I lifted for years as a teenager and was constantly hurting myself and compensating for things like butt wink, and meanwhile the whole time it was just weak shoulders and abs.

The key for me is perseverance, something that 99% of people don't have. Having a set wakeup time w/o hitting snooze, working out even when you "Don't feel it", or going for a run on a cloudy/rainy day, because that is when you really need it. There may be days I might cut back a bit because I'm over tired but even on my 'rest' days I still walk, swim, do calisthenics, technical training, just won't workout or run.

I'm close to a 5minute wallsit now. Broke 4m35s with 5kg extra a few days ago on the 1st "set" after many months of twice weekly training it. 2nd and 3rd set 4 minutes. Once I Reach 5 minutes I'll switch to horsestance. And many more statics in the future. Been building up the base for many things for a while now. Definitely a fan of this type of training and it's absolutely the most challenging aspect of my training.

The horse stance and hollow holds sound like a good place to start, and yes, I am one of those who is looking for how many times a day, sets, and so on. The mental aspect is the hardest part because the few people in my circle are not on the same page, including my live-in girlfriend. The narrative that it’s hard to build muscle and strength after 30 is an absolute joke. Your test is still going strong provided you eat a healthy diet. Pro runners can run the same times as they did at age 19 while at age 60. The way I see it, if you practice something 20 hours a week, which is quite a commitment but fully reasonable, you will be a master in the traditional sense within 10 years. Would you rather be a master of something at age 40, or never be a master at all?

Ive been looking for the right teacher for a long time. David Goggin's running like an 18 wheeler. Ronnie Coleman and Tom Platz lifting like titans. Mixed martial artists and boxers brawling like gladiators. Even Wim Hof, as insane as his methods may seem, are more beneficial than many care to think. Going beyond the comfort zone is what it's all about, sign me up.

Reject the heresy of Unitarianism. Our God is Triune and relational by nature! Lol sorry your videos are often borderline theological and feel like catechism lectures. Great video. Agree social media disappearing from the earth would better mankind and have been inspired to incorporate static holds. Off to liturgy. God bless brother
