I haven’t started with acrylic pour yet because I am still learning the essentials. I’ve been watching your videos where you give excellent tips and teach wonderfully! This pool is great. I wouldn’t try the spinning technique exactly because of the spilling of the paint everywhere! In one of your beginners video, where you mentioned the amount of paint for the base according to the size of the canvas, you mentioned a formula, as you did this time as well. However, can you please share, when using the metric system, what the formula is? Thank you in advance! Looking forward to watching more of your videos and learning from you!

I have been painting for about a year now and I absolutely love it. your videos have helped me tremendously! You explain a lot without being long winded! But I have a question...how do you keep the canvas from moving off the spinner? I only used my spinner once and the canvas was spun off the spinner (what a mess)!
@LeftBrainedArtist
@LeftBrainedArtist 10 ай бұрын
1) Don't spin so fast - I have a problem with patience so I spin too hard. 2) put something like a silicone matt underneath as it will hold the painting better. 3) use double sided tape on the bottom of the wood for canvas or the middle of the canvas board. You need to pick up the whole spinner to tilt though if you do this. 4) some people add cross bars and a "stop" on those bars. That is a much more involved solution.

Love your site! It's very informative. Since you used a glue mix, how did you get cells? I use Elmers's glue-all and have never gotten cells with the 70/30 formula.
@LeftBrainedArtist

Glue-all does not make cells. That is what I use, or liquitex pouring medium, when I don't want cells. Craftsmart glue however is quite cell reactive.

Hello David! Thankyou for all your video’s I am learning a lot from your channel! Being a newbie I tried pouring on top of a clear plate, my plate was clean and I wiped it down with alcohol to remove any oils. It is very pretty but the paint cracked, my question is can I pour on top with another pour as is and will it cover the cracks? I made sure my paint was trace 1. I appreciate if you have the time to answer my question if so I thankyou in advance. Have a blessed day 😊
@LeftBrainedArtist
@LeftBrainedArtist 10 ай бұрын
It won't cover the cracks. You'll still see them. You can use painters puddy and then sand it or manually put paint in them an let them dry till they are mostly filled then pour over the painting. That will keep a lot of the texture from showing through.

Hmmm....... Just four inches taller than my son. As soon as we can clear the garage from all the boxes used for packing when we moved, we will have a level place to do some painting of various kinds. The garage has a more level floor than the rest of the house. The idea of using a small sitting pool can help with keeping the paint contained in a small area. We plan on using old blankets on the stone floor so we don't get paint on that. We don't own, just renting.
