Difference between Copper / Brass / Bronze (for those who might find it interesting) they are part of a category of metals known as “red metals”, which are characterized by their reddish tint. While copper is a pure metal, brass and bronze are copper alloys (brass is a combination of copper and zinc; bronze is a combination of copper and tin).

Art major here: that would be called an Art Copy, or Artist Copy. It's often a study done of another artist's piece to study their technique and try and mimic their style.

As someone who grew up in the 80's, I remember Citizen as a luxury watch brand. If I'm not mistaken, even today, for those of us who prefer the traditional quartz watches over the cold & mechanical ones, that are so popular & obviously favorites by a lot of people... 🤔 #ImNotOneOfThem 😉⌚️👌🏻 Love that Japanese wall clock. Such a unique find... 🌏💡⏰️ !!!

The Citizen clock is from The International Organisation for Migration, which opened in 1981 to help with Indochinese refugee resettlement. Interesting bit of social history you picked up in Las Vegas xx

Hello, make sure you come the first weekend in October to Las Vegas. Go to Boulder City, Nv (1/2 hour drive). Boulder City has so many Antique/thrift shops plus this is also the weekend of Art in the Park (a craft/antique/art festival for free). This little town comes alive with festivities, people and thrifting. It’s a wonderful weekend. Bring a van to transport your new treasures!

In 1984, the company I worked for gave all the employees nice clocks as an end-of-year commemorative gift. Inscribed on the back were our company's acronym and the year. Maybe the "IOM" etc. was put on the clock you bought for a similar reason. Just a thought.

I was thinking you could use a Bittossi ashtray as a soap dish. The Dansk tray is the exact same one that is used at Coquine (restaurant in Portland) to serve guests a surprise extra dessert at the end of the meal! I'd recognize it anywhere - such a nice piece.

These ashtrays are great as fountain pen holders and also in keeping a wet paint brush from rolling & dirtying one's desk... 😉 It's so usefull that the slot, the opening for the cigarette is single & parallel on both sides... 🤗 Make these ashtrays so multifunctional... ❤️❤️❤️

The round pottery piece is a pottery ring jug. They were used in the old days to carry on there shoulder to the field. Or to hang on the plow horse halter for worker to have water in the field. A canteen ! I’m a folk art potter, my husband through them to sale, as fun.
