You'd think that an archetype that revolves around the tarot would have effects involving the cards in your hand rather than coin flips (like if you have an odd or even number or if you have more monster cards than spells and traps, maybe even have some effects that activate FROM your hand when certain other cards are present). It'd be pretty complicated to implement, but it would make more sense lore-wise, and at least it would involve some level of strategy when building your deck to ensure you get an ideal hand more often than not.

The funny thing is that Saiou/Sartorius is voiced by Takehito Kyasu in the Japanese version of the GX anime. Takehito later went on to voice Dio Brando in the Japanese version of the JoJo anime, All-Star Battle and Eyes of Heaven, meaning that we have heard Dio's VA using「Za Warudo」long before Stardust Crusaders became a full-length anime.

I'm kinda miffed that out of the Arcana cards that remained anime-only, The Devil was never printed. If you get Heads, if you battle a monster and destroy it, you get to destroy another one and inflict 500 burn damage and if you get Tails, you destroy all monsters on the field. While their is the dowside that the first effect requires you to destroy the monster in order to pull it off, otherwise the card destroys itself, it would still be a fun thing to use.

The only good thing that Arcana Force ever did was make some extra sound clips of Dio shouting ZA WARUDO!

I have Arcana Force VII in my cube and it's super fun when it comes out because it basically becomes Heads: Win the Duel Tails: Lose the Duel

With one card, you have the potential to make people suffer endless ROAD ROLLA DAs.

3 words: second coin toss. Sure you may not be able to control fate, but turning your odds from 1/2 to 3/4 of the effect you want is pretty damn close to it. Plus get more then one on the field your odds go from 1/2 to 5/6 or 7/8.

I know this is old and all but duel links actually has the hangman, with a horrible but equally amazing effect. heads:destroy your own monster and take damage equal to attack. tails: the same as heads but for the opponent's monster. just figured i'd point that out.

I had the idea for a set of cards (not really an archetype) called "parodygm-___" and they would be parodies of popular cards that are actually good, and one of them is a spell card "Parodygm - Fool's Burial" "Send one "Arcana Force - 0 the Fool" from your deck to the graveyard and set one "Arcana Call" from your deck (it can be activated this turn). If this effect is negated; special summon 1 "Arcana Force - 0 the Fool" from your deck in face-up defence position."

This archetype is really fun to play, even though it does suck

Just wanna point something out for Arcana Call if someone wants to be a mad man: Banish chariot with Dark Ruler on the field and snatch away a big beatstick of your opponent. Only do this if you are an absolute maniac tho.

Here is a random fun fact: Sartorious was supposed to be a 1-of movie villain but after the GX movie got cancelled he was re-purposed to be the villian of entire Season 2.

Here's my idea for a High Priestess card. If you like it, I could probably brainstorm ideas for all the unadapted Arcana. Arcana Force II - The High Priestess Level 3 LIGHT Fairy ATK 1200 DEF 1200 Effect: Once per turn, take any number of cards in your hand and shuffle them into the deck. Then, draw cards equal to the number of cards you shuffled in. When this card is summoned, flip a coin and apply the corresponding effect. Heads: Special summon one level 4 or below “Arcana Force” monster from the hand or graveyard. Tails: Add 1 “Arcana Force” monster from your deck to your hand.

Useless fact; they had the VAs for Sartorious Kumar voice the hypothetical Arcana Force cards in Duel Links in the event they ever came up with them.

Arcana force EX - the dark ruler works very well along with other fairyes like: - Fluffal mouse - Marshmacaron - cloudian sheep cloud - the agent of creation - Venus And to support that just put some other fairy cards that can do their job - Archlord Krytias - Eva - Valhalla hall of the fallen - I don't know... You can put some meloudious. Mainly Solo, Canon and Soprano so you can do some rank 4 shenanigans with them, and Mozarta to be kind of a "boss" alongside Krytias and Arcana - You can also play a "the agents" deck with some of the cards i said here, Master hyperion is quite a nice level 8 monster, so if you combine him with Krytias (and Mozarta if you want the melodious), you can have some rank 8 xyz in the extra just in case

Best chance card for me: Ordeal of the Traveler mostly because my opponent went 0/3 guesses and all his monsters left the field which led to my win.

Just use Arcana call to grab that nuke effect, suddenly your opponent has just HARD SENT that attack

There's one thing about the World I wanted to do with it... Back before I quit and Konami nerfed it... I wanted to play Ring of Destruction on it and go "I can blow up the whole god-danged world with this card."

In one of the 5ds games for the DS I had an Arcana Force deck but I only ran The Fool, The Chariot, The World, and Light Barrier. The rest were actually decent Fairy monsters. I ran it with Valhalla for The World and Solidarity so The Chariot could actually kill things. Also, with Light Barrier's Life Point gain I splashed Ancient Sacred Wyvern for some massive ATK points.

Considering the recent legacy support to B.E.S., Vehicroid, Cyberdark, and Amazon, how long till we see any decent legacy support for Arcana Force?

I really wish they fixed this archetype. It's such a cool concept and cool designs. They just need to adapt the others and change the tails effects to still beneficial effects. Or just eliminate the coin toss and let you choose the effect.

2 years ago: Meh, this deck is nonsense and could never work. Now, after watching Jojo: THEY NEED TO ADAPT THE REST OF THESE CARDS DANG IT. To explain; Sure the coin flip gimmick is trash but if they had a big enough toolbox they could easily become a fun competitive deck. For instance, if they made one of the arcana an XYZ that; Flip a coin, if heads you can remove a material to reverse the coin result of all cards on the field. If tails, remove a material to reflip the coin results (or double them or something) My point is if they went all in with the coin gimmick they could very easily have used this basic toolbox of cards and make it something formidable. Wouldn’t even be that hard.

Why is Dark Ruler not a Dark type monster?

Favorite chance card was Fairy Box. Used to be a staple for me as every deck featured at least one copy. Always fun taking out a big beater with something puny and making my opponent really question how often I could get heads and not want to attack.

I remember posting a frog deck profile that played light ruler it was pretty good and a lot of fun!

In the anime, The Light Ruler was summoned in the anime by using specific Spells that searched each other out. What was the mechanic for those Spells activating? Why, Arcana Force monsters of different levels being in the Graveyard! So they totally could have gone for a "you summon this card by banishing Arcana Force cards", but they didn't.
