There’s never a worse feeling than buying a figure and then watching perspective end and subsequently realizing you don’t like your figure anymore

i'm honestly satisfied with this figure, but yeah, it objectively could be a lot better, and is far from a perfect modern Windblade. the waffling on the wings is the biggest sin imo.

If you squint hard enough, Windblades's alt mode kinda looks like the Swordfish II, Spike's ship from Cowboy Bebop, and that makes it somewhat enjoyable for me.

Windblade has the same problem as Arcee, the base design that she's saddled with was already made with a bad transformation, so any figure that tries to base itself off that design is inherently going to have that bad transformation. And pretty much the only way to fix that is to reinvent the design with a better transformation.

Sadly, it seems Hasbro is also seemingly dead set on Slipstream being a different mold than Starscream and the rest of the seekers, to the point that she's coming from this mold. Especially when she apparently was gonna be based on the Siege mold for IDW 2019, then Hasbro asked for her to be based on the Cyberverse design instead.

For someone we, as fans, technically made, you’d expect them to put more effort into this

I think Windblade's head looks relatively accurate to Cyberverse, so i guess this is a sneak peak at that Roast.

Hinge at the bottom of the chest, flip open chest, tuck head inside, close up chest for vehicle mode, reverse for robot mode. Hinge on the back, redesign cockpit section so that part isn't unnecessarily thick, (even with how the figure's designed now its got loads of empty space in there in vehicle mode) flip open back hinge, tuck cockpit in the space the head goes in vehicle mode when going into robot as much as it can possibly fit inside. For Slipstream: Remold it so the cockpit flips down in the middle of her chest, make the tip of the nose flip up or make the cockpit section split down the middle so you can open it and flip the tip of the nose in there. *_Give her a proper seeker looking headsculpt instead of a head with a box on top of it that doesn't even go all the way to cover the head properly and FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DON'T GIVE HER THE WINDBLADE TURBINE WINGS, SHES A SEEKER NOT A WINDBLADE CLONE._* I know Slipstreams already been revealed but even if the nose section idea "isn't possible with the mold" I just fixed most of the rest of their pathetic attempt at a Slipstream, the only other thing that could be improved is remold the shoulder armour into standard seeker boxy looking shoulders, poke a 5MM hole in there for the null rays and I just improved what they did for her guns. Hell if they wanna be lazy just get rid of the stupid forearm fins and put the peg for them there and she's got them on her lower arms properly instead of underslung.

As far as I know, this and Chase just never even released down here in Straya. We definitely got Animated Bee and Magneous. But I genuinely don’t think Windblade or Chase were even actually officially released

I like how Windblade's design style was for the Cyberverse show. It's very expressive. As soon as news spread of a Cyberverse Windblade was coming to Legacy, I hoped that the figure would capture the same expressive energy she had on the show. Now that I have her figure, it's 50/50, and I still like it. Looking forward to more from the Cyberverse Universe, and the upcoming Slipstream.

Apparently the turbines are only painted on one side so you have a choice to go show accurate (silver) or toy accurate (black)

I got the RID Combiner Force Windblade (battle mask one) last year (it costed me $69, no joke), and I'm good with that Windblade. (I wish I had more to say.)

They're also a cyberverse warrior class figure. Emgo reviewed it a long time ago.

I'm sure others said so too, but the turbines swiveling is a gimmick from the show, so it's not simply to save paint.

The moment i saw Perspective End be really happy about the Hot Spot, i thought to myself "He's gonna review something horrible next, isn't he?" And it seems i was correct

So this is the second time I've heard Perspective want to remove his organs out of disgust from a figure. A very sane and normal thing someone thinks of when they see a mediocre Windblade figure

I was expecting them to do a retooled version of cyclonus,s transformation for Windblade to make the most clean version of her possible. You know a reverse Cheetor to Tigertron in this case. Instead we get a typical Windblade that dumps the whole nose cone on the back again. It's definitely better than other version of her but they could have taken some ideas from cyclonus to make the robot and Jet mode look better.

I only changed poses on my copy a few times and wound up scuffing the paint on her chin thanks to her collar. Ugh.

Will we ever get a good Windblade figure

So the head sculpt sounds more like she's the kid sister if DotM Cyberfire Bumblebee (or as the fans tend to call him, "Murderbee") with his ferocious fire red eyes. As for Windblade figures...well, crazier exists. Not better, not worse, only crazier. Fans Hobby did a Windblade that's not only a Headmaster, but a new robot mode face repaint of their Minerva. Even the Headmaster is just a straight up repaint of Minerva, but the robot mode face backpack is Windblade. Are you catchin' the crazy yet? *It's a Windblade THAT'S A CAR instead of a JET!!* This is madness on the levels of Alternators/Binaltech Grimlock (also a car). Somebody else did a proper jet Windblade, but she's stylized to where she resembles the Flame Toys model kit. I'm 90% certain that was Big Fire Bird, the folks behind Nicee (the hyper stylized Arcee)...

Honestly, I love this figure and have heard nothing but praise for it, so this is slightly refreshing. The turbines turn so they can face forwards in jet mode, though, which helps the look, and I don't see the baby face at all even with your aid... they just look nothing alike. The headfan being missing really ruins her headscultpt though, goddamn.

I got this one basically the week it was announced at a local store, and the tolerances are WAY better, maybe the mold is degrading extra fast? I do think she's pretty fun, but I do see the design flaws

The reason we still have yet to get a decent windblade, is because they keep prioritizing the W O M A N (TM) aspect over the fact that she's supposed to transform. As such, the kibble isn't built into the core design of the figure, leaving it to sit hovering off the back. Well that and the fact that they insist upon making her a Deluxe class for no determinable reason other than, again, W O M A N (TM). Its really shitty that in the last several years, the number of unique molds made for a fembot that are above deluxe in scale, can be counted on a single hand

She's pretty close to screen accurate for the Cyberverse version she's supposed be, aside from the VTOL fans being too small as you noted. I'm not saying that means you have to like it, of course, but at least it has that going for it. Well, I don't remember how her back was supposed to look, but losing the backpack kibble on screen is a long fembot tradition at this point :P

Perspective is not satisfied

The real problem with the legs is that the knees are too high. On an actual human being, the thigh is longer than the shin, enough for the bottom of the foot to meet with the joint when the knee bends 180 degrees. On most transformer toys, it is the other way around where the shin is longer than the thigh, which I hate because it makes posing significantly more difficult than it has to be. There's a similair case for elbows, where the forearms are supposed to be shorter than everything above the elbow, but you dont see this issue nearly as much as with knees.

SO, two funny things my mom said about the dark crystal, one of the bad guys she thought was a pervert and another she thought looked like the dead body of an alligator.

My biggest gripe was the head sculpt, I wish it was more accurate to the Cyberverse series. Definitely going to wait for discounts and will customise this then I get one. Try and fix the problems it has.

I'm waiting for the now-confirmed Legacy Slipstream repaint of this mold, but otherwise, the T30/Generations Windblade knocks this one out of the park, down to her sword having a sheath on the original figure.

I actually like this windblade. She is an easy mold. My only down side is the 5mm ports on gbt wings i just got we'll get an upgrade kit to cover them and would want her fan stay in place. I gave the second thrilling 30 arcee blaster to her.

Just like the other guy who commented, yea, it’s not a good windblade but it’s still great for what it is. Considering it’s Cyberverse windblade, you can tell a lot this was made thinking about the cyberverse audience which is young kids.

About the baby face. She is meant to have a Kabuki mask, which if you look at them have often pudgy appearances. Something like an Oni mask is very bulbous to convey the glutton and power of the demon.

Could it have been better? Sure. So can anything. But what we got was fine. And with the sword storage on the hip, it at least looks cool in a basic standing pose with her hand on the hilt
