I don't care if Steve Stine is fixing a flat tire, he's a freaking "Guitar God" - I can't begin to tell you how great he is. He's a once in a lifetime guitarist. To get training/tips from him is like Winning 100 lottery's all at the same time. If I were rich, I would have him live in (his own house on my estate) and we would do awesome guitar things everyday!!! If I were only rich enough - So for now I'm going to try to play as we as I can and hopefully move my way towards "Steve Stine-ism" which is as close to God-like as you can get!!! Keep it up Big Steve, you're the man and everything you teach are like gold bars that you're giving out to each one of us - what we do with them from there is up to us. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!

I'm lucky I found you! I struggled for years because I thought if I started on the A chord, then went to B,C,D,E,F and ended on G, then I should hear everything ascend nicely in pitch (using the open position). However, it never sounded correct. You showed me that when you play an open G chord, you are actually playing 2 G chords (6 string or 2 triads) on top of each other. When you play an open D chord, it is actually 1 and a third of another D chord (four strings played) on top of each other. I appreciate your patience, knowledge and kindness! I love your "you can do it, keep trying" attitude. You explain in a systematic way so we can make progress if we stay focused. I was able to follow this lesson today and again, you helped me so much. I love your tip about muting the strings with the palm of the picking hand and first finger of the fretting hand. Thank you so much Steve! May God bless you with the best of everything!

Steve, you're not just a great guitarist and musician, but a wonderful and kind teacher of this art as well. I as a beginner with the electric guitar, even though i have played some acoustic for some years, understand that it may feel intimidating with your speed, but also this is one of my future goals as well.. to be fast and accurate! Thanks for all your effort with your teaching :) David, Sweden.

asinger thinks of legato differentlylegato/stacato.legato is italian for sth conected or sing fluently, together .stacato is the oposit.when you should make pauses in between small pieces of a song.first time i hear what's the instrumental legato.nobody will read this,so i can break the bollocks.o.k. steve, but you explain great, but try to show it intermediatly,so most of us see where are you.well you explain it even for children.you're special.3yrs passed but you were good ,dot.checked.let's go on.bravo, bravissimo

Thanks, Snack Pack! :-) Just a heads-up, the special discount and bonuses for Steve’s brand new course Music Theory Made Easy 2.0 ends tonight. Go here for details → guitarzoom.com/musictheorymadeeasy20/promo/ Whether you’re just starting out or if you’ve been playing for years, learning music theory can take your playing to the next level. Because you won’t just memorize some chords, or play a scale over and over a hundred times. When you learn music theory, you’ll discover how scales actually work. How scales generate chords. Why some chords sound good together and others don’t. And which notes to play to create the sound you want with your solo. Which means, you’ll truly start to understand how music works. So you can take your guitar playing as well as your songwriting to a whole new level. But the special discount and brand-new bonus courses disappear tonight. Here’s just a few of the bonus courses you get when you order now: ☑️ NEW! Fast Action Bonus #1: Steve Stine Live Lesson Library Vol 1 ☑️ NEW! Fast Action Bonus #2: Unlocking the CAGED System ☑️ NEW! Speed comes with practice. Make sure ur practicing things 100% correctly at slow speeds so that u dont build incorrect muscle memory. Then and ONLY then try to speed up. Ive always been a rhythm guitarist in metal bands. Like 10yrs worth.lol. and im now attempting "solo" type techniques. I had forgotten what it feels like to be frustrated by a lack of coordination between hands.lol. so even tho i have alot of experience playing the guitar im basicly back to being a beginner. So dont ever get down on urself! At the heart this is an individual journey! So have fun with it and KEEP ON ROCKIN!

Hi Steve. Thanx a lot for such video. I was a nice guitar player. I had a terrible accident 13 yeears ago. I cannot move my left arm anymore. So I decided to swich to trumpet (Miles Davis, Chet Baker, Dizzy,...) but my love for the 6 string world is huge. I'm 52 y.o. now, but I'd like to restart playing guitar just with my right hand on real lefty guitar: a couple of years ago I tried a midi guitar, but the feeling is totally different, the way of playing is different 'cause you have little buttons for each strings/frets position (and... no bending, no slid...). A question: what's the best set up for me? Guitar: 0.08 strings? Very low action? And... a compressor that can help in legato, or not. I know that practice is the number one rule. But if there is something that can help me, well, why no. For example: a sustainiac pick up can help me? A 'normal' guitar player can pick the string in legato. With just one hand you cannot pick! And I want to play chirds... What do you think Steve? Thanx a lot! Paolo - Italy

Thank you Steve. I always have an issue with muting the higher strings as I am doing pull-offs on lower strings, say string 4 or 5. If I try to mute the higher strings with my index finger, then my other fingers won't have the proper angle with the string I am pulling off. And if I want to keep the proper angle for the pull-offs, my index finger can't cover the higher strings. Darn it! It's so complicated lol
