Hey Scott! Thanks for asking. One thing that can help is having your guitar properly set up. Make sure the height of the strings is comfortable and the gauge you are using is not too heavy. Always try to keep the tip of your fingers like a little hammer to avoid the bending and your thumb at the back of the fretboard so that you have a good grip. Hi Jeffrey. I understand what you are saying. Try practicing slowly at first. This is something that takes time and consistency is the key. Don't be too hard on yourself and give it some time. Also make sure your guitar is set up properly and the strings aren't too far away from the fretboard. Have you tried using a lighter string gauge? @@stinemusiclessons Thanks for answering my difficulty. Your input is very logical and yes, after I checking my guitar I realized that my strings are too far away from the freeboard and probably I using a wrong string gauge. I will take my guitar for repairation and use a lighter gauge. 👍👍👍👍
