The ending had to be as tragic as it was to be believable, as it often a genius's neurosis that drives their brilliance and without that light would never shine and flourish. Who knows how many potentially iconic artist could've been that got their shit together before the put that pain and chaos and joy and hurt and vulnerability into thier perspective mediums.

He's an "Orphan" raised on a cruise ship. He's abandoned, befriended, and brought up by a crew member for awhile. But, then loses him. He finds a way to reach people and calm himself playing piano on the ship. But, he can't reach back to people beyond that. He is hanging by an emotional thread his loss is so great. He can't trust them enough to go ashore. He can't leave the boat. That would mean he would have to face his pain and lose to it. So sad.

Bravissimo Avvocato! Il problema è che Social, TV e Media vari danno troppe opportunità a chiunque di dire qualsiasi cosa senza contraddittorio. E più la scempiaggine è grande e maggiore è il risalto che ottiene, perché “tutto fa spettacolo” e audience.

Прекрасный режиссёр Джузеппе Торнаторе, это пятый фильм, который я смотрю у него. Пока все же лидирует Баария! Больше всего произвела впечатление. Ещё смотрела Малена, Двое во вселенной, Лучшее предложение.

Bella comunque, forse ancora più di questa, la parte della sfida in cui lui riproduce esattamente il pezzo inedito e bellissimo appena eseguito dall'avversario. Disappunto del pubblico, che percepisce la cosa come una poco fantasiosa replica di un'esibizione appena udita, ma motivo di forte preoccupazione, invece, per l'autore del pezzo, che è il solo, tra tutti i presenti in sala, a capire veramente con che razza di genio si è imbattuto

This movie was my first introduction to Tim Roth. When 1900 puts the cigarette in Jelly Roll's mouth, I can muster no further reaction than to inhale, heavily, through my nose. It's one of those impact moments that remain the same with you, across decades. First time I had that reaction had to have been 2007. I haven't seen the movie since, but I know my reaction to this seen has remained unchanged.

This is a bit long, but hear me out. Danny eviscerates Morton in these three songs. The first song, Morton opens with his red light specialty. Danny responds with a song about purity and virginity, even though the crowd is laughing. "I am the opposite of you". The second song Morton plays a harder song, to throw off Danny. Danny then repeats the exact song, and without anyone else but Morton knowing, does it better. "I can do what you can do, but better." Finally, disgusted and angry he has been ousted, Morton plays his final hand and goes all out with his trump card song. So difficult, that only a master could play better. Danny then plays a song that is impossible. No one person could perform this song. "I can do the impossible." Morton is humiliated and aghast. End scene.

Originally, this was rated a 1 star movie. As was Late for Dinner. Couldn't have disagreed more. As they say, if you are able maintain your suspension of disbelief, both these movies are better than most, and should be appreciated for the honesty in their sweet intentions and good hearts.
