Timothy West CBE is a legendary actor and presenter who has had an extensive career on stage and screen since making a name for himself in the 1960s. Timothy will be joining us to promote a Candlelit Christmas Concert which is raising emergency funds for a charity that aims to support the forgotten children of Darfur, Sudan. Timothy will also give us an update on how he and wife Prunella are managing their everyday lives, with this year marking a decade since she got diagnosed with dementia.

He is an 89 year old man with 4 people talking to him and in front of a live audience. Very daunting and not easy to do. I think he done well. The audience seem to understand the situation better than those interviewing him. If you live with or know people with Dementia you try and explain what is going in the way they see things. Very difficult to put across without offending your loved ones. Great interview!

Tim and Pro are such a lovely couple and Tim is a huge inspiration to us all and he unfailingly demonstrates his love and total commitment to his soul mate. Pru is in such good hands with Tim by her side and overseeing her care. It says it all when he so beautifully recited from A Red Red Rose by Robbie Burns in one of their last canal journeys "I will luve thee still, my dear, While the sands o’ life shall run." - Lovely interview, thank you! Sat here watching canal journeys right now I get told I'm sad and boring... but tell ya what timmy mate what an absolute cracking show... especially when you come threw manchester on the peak forest canal towards Huddersfield... I'd love to go threw standedge tunnel the biggest canal tunnel in the country and its 10mins away from my house
