They aren’t dead. Pretty much going into a cocoon state and waiting out until the rainy season come again. Some fish in Asia have evolved to this extent and people just don’t know about it.

The fish dehydrated when it comes the dry season or summer because the place there is lake . They make a hole and they alive in small amount of water to be long to leave before come again the rainy season .
