I'm guessing the big tower on the page where Ultra Boy is using his vision to identify landmarks is the lighthouse of Alexandria, one of the ancient wonders of the world. The underground city could be an idea that Gibbons brought to the table from his 2000AD days since the exact same idea is part of the Judge Dredd mythology with New York being underneath Mega City 1.

Gibbons sure can draw. His Legion style here -especially the women’s hair - gives vibes of Russ Manning. Did Manning ever do any LoSH art? Another excellent listen. Thanks, D&D.
