I’m really having fun building this set right now

Spare tires were more common in the old days when many roads were simple dirt tracks and tire quality was lower. You see them on many restored Vespas of the ´50s and ´60s. How cool would it have been if the spare wheel was a complete third wheel instead of this blocky thing imitating a wheel cover! Also IMO the dark blue color of the seats (and wheel cover) doesn´t look to good. Brown (leather) or black would be better. I just built the set, for my eyes the Vespa looks a bit short when viewed from the side. I think the foot shield should be a bit longer (maybe 1 stud) and the angle of the steering axis more shallow, but I haven´t checked blueprints yet. But overall a really nice and detailed display set, I´m quite happy with it. As always, keep up the great work!

This is actually way better than I expected. Vespa has a very organic look to it, rounded panels etc. and this is tricky to get right with Lego. Nice review of a nice set. Thank you.

The whitewall rims are a briljant workaround to still being able to manufacture an all-black tire. Very clever

I had to contact customer support for spare parts because some pieces had different color shades, I counted 3 shades of color only on the curved 5x5 piece, an indecent thing for a 100 € set. However, it remains a great show set if you don't get too close. P.S. the spare wheel was common on the first versions of the Vespa, one for example had it in the compartment opposite to that of the engine. Greetings from Italy!

What do you do with all of these sets? Do you keep them? Or break them up for MOCs? What about MOCs, surely you don’t have enough space for all of them.

Usualy a top review. Only two things: Replace tire was in old vespa (in Rome you see new vespa) Also in vespa helmet make steering rotate (and usualy helmey fall down) Thanks a lot for you channel (And sorry for my maccheroni english)

I would want to say this excellent review convinced me to buy this set.....but guess what's on my table right now :-) (so why am I watching KZfaq and not building?) I'm a bit disappointed though that you didn't build it with those yellow gloves!

The black pnumatic T stands out.

Judging from the video, the instructions background doesn't look bad to me - looks like it is supposed to fake a piece of cloth.

I have a feeling with this set that a new colour version will be realised further down the line, just like the fiat 500 set.

Amazing review! Was waiting your video in order to purchase! Absolutely agree with your considerations: helmet seems of another design quality and quite don't feel part of the set. Flowers are ok, luggage rack is super, the crate seems poor.

You don't happen to remember the songs name that plays towards the ending of the video? Starting at 14:27, I think. One thing that kinda bothers me about Lego rims in the past time, is their incompatibility with tracks. There are so many rims that could have been made compatible, but they didn't do it. I am still hoping to get something that would improve the possibilities of building interleaved suspensions. I have never been too fund of the radar dishes for that. They are curved and tend to look to flimsy. But alas, maybe I am just hoping for too much
