First time I make an Ecto-1

I just love your "Barn Find" videos. It's one thing to make a model resemble the real vehicle in pristine condition, but another entirely to make it look rusted and dented. Great work!

you should do this with other iconic cars. like one of the more retro batmobiles. mystery machine etc

Now i am imagining a wrecked Halo Warthog partially submerged in a beach with either marines trying to salvage it, Chief getting supplies from it, or Sentinels examining it! Heck, it doesn't even have to be the Hog, it could even be the Reach Spade with Covenant guarding it or one of the Civilian vehicles from Halo 5 like the Fossa.

This build is so incredible, I would love to see a tutorial on a more traditional Ecto 1 as well, I think the build you use here is way better than the Lego Ideas set!

OH MY. The Minions hairpiece as wires sticking out of a broken lamp is the most mindblowing NPU I can remember ever seeing. These barn finds are always full of treasure techniques, keep doing them please! Would love to see an underwater- or snowy- (christmas maybe?) themed entry into the list as well.

I hope that lego does make an Ecto-1 set similar to the 2016 one for afterlife. With the same minifigure spots (4 main team, side character and a ghost) which would be the new team, mr grooberson (paul rudd) and muncher. Edit: after seeing the movie, the side character could be gozer rather than gary grooberson, shes much more of an important character and we’ve never gotten her in Minifigure form

You should do a Classic Ecto-1 or Ecto-1A with front doors that open like the 2016 Lego Ecto, that would be really cool!

At one point in the build I got strangely fixated on the idea of a cab over engine design with the ecto-1 theme.

Wow this is awesome, I would like to see an older style Bronco or maybe a truck would be nice. I've always been a fan of classic and newer cars. So far in this series, I've made the Ford GT, the restored mustang and the Chevrolet bel air but I haven't done it in barn find style, I took the instructions change the tiles to make a fully restored version in black with white roof it still has the light blueish grey on the sides. I've also modified the interior to add a dash in tan and added some 1x3 jumper plate to fit 2 minifigures and move the steering wheel by half a stud. It's 1of the 6 top show peice on my shelf 3 custom and 3 from lego speed champions. ( both Corvette 2021 set and 70's challenger in purple 2021 set) I do wish to see this series going further.

It's MOCs like this and the Delorean ones you've made that make me wish Lego could actually make re-runs of the Lego IDEAS sets but with more updated designs utilising the newer parts in the catalogue. Even if they don't do another minifig scale Ecto 1, I would truly appreciate a redesign of the Delorean from BTTF, compared to when the set was released and now, there's such an insane ammount of new pieces to use that could really improve the overall design and functionality of the original
