I tried the demo the other week, it was super interesting, I wishlisted it, but I might wait for a sale before getting it. The building controls weer a bit wonky sometimes, it's not always easy to move the pieces in a 3D space as you mentioned, but it wasn't game breaking, and after a few times it was easier to figure what to do to get the result I wanted. I love LEGO games in general, but this one really feels as if you were playing with real LEGO bricks, and the way characters move is reminiscent of how the characters move in the LEGO movies, as opposed to the other LEGO video games where the characters move a bit more smoothly.

Great review Tiago, I wouldn't have minded more of your opinion rather than an explanation of the story. But you review Lego sets normally after all! A great video still and very informative.

Good job on the review! I personally think it's always relevant to mention the development studio and publisher, what kind of monetization they usually go for with their games (more benevolent microtransactions like DLC or gouging money out of people in exchange for in-game currency or cosmetics and such) as well as what's known about the office culture there, considering the recent abuse allegations leveled at some major publishers and developers. Otherwise I liked that you mentioned the strengths as well as the weaknesses of the game!

I played a bit of it. It’s pretty, but still felt like a puzzle game that just happened to be skinned in LEGO. I’m glad there is some building function and physics so they are getting closer to a true LEGO style playability.

I really recommend the virtual reality version of the game recently release on the quest 3. Building legos in VR is much smoother than using a controller.

I had played the demo back in the spring and had forgotten about it because it had taken so long to come out. Looking forward to finally playing the whole game.

The cravings I'm having to build those maps out of real bricks are almost unbearable...

That’s another level of love towards our bricks friend😆My past experience with Lego games are that the process of having to keep stopping to break stuffs to collect studs are very daunting and repetitive. I can see it in this game but how’s the experience for that? Is it smooth and quick or quite a pain.

Finally a Lego game with Bricks as Evironment. This was my biggest per peeve on all Star Wars LEgo games.

Thanks for sharing a different style of Lego; I am not much of a gamer, I rather the tactile nature of the bricks. That said; I am now interested enough into looking closer at the game and may indeed purchase. Personally I would likely try a demo first as this all feels new to me; I think from your review that the balance of gameplay suits the more tactile nature of my Lego interest and still accommodates the (incredibly) casual aspect of my gameplay.

Very cool! Is it only in English or also other languages? If it comes in Dutch, I think I know what my nephews are gonna get from Sinterklaas....

Something that is important imho is how long it will take me to "finish" the game. As far as I'm aware the game seems a bit too short for me to spend 30€ on it.
