Consider supporting the wheel axles at the top and getting rid of the red indicatiors - these things cause a lot of wobble, greatly reducing speed. With lego axles, you can get to around 6000 rpm (100 rotations per second) before they melt from friction. Believe me, I tried XD

@DrEngine
@DrEngine 2 жыл бұрын
Two wheels in a row on each side?
@mojolotz
@mojolotz 2 жыл бұрын
@@DrEngine No i meant the two sides. If one side spins at a slightly different speed than the other side, it might give the projectile a spin on exit. If you connect the two sides, so that they can functionally only spin at the same speed, that cannot happen. I don't know how precise lego motors are and wether this is a problem. You've got a tachometer, so you can test this i imagine. I think more wheels would only do something if the projectile slows down the existing whells sufficiently. I think adding more weight onto the axes (sort of like a flywheel) would do the same thing.

@Attrixine
@Attrixine 2 жыл бұрын
@@bricktonmcbricks3969 Unless you somehow had springs capable of usage with lego, it’s not possible as drum magazines use springs or some other winding mechanism to feed the rounds, Although for some machine guns like the MG3 and RPD, the drum only contains a belt already feeding into the mechanism, so it doesn’t take any springs.
