This is the perfect use for raytracing. Lego games have never been able to fully capture the glossy look and all the internal reflections of the studs and everything else

@@Blembus I'm just hoping that they enable rt reflections for lego star wars. It shouldn't take too much dev time because they're already using unreal engine Edit: I've just seen that it's actually a custom engine. Don't know where I got the unreal engine idea from

@@chrisbrown113096 as much as I wish that's true, its just using ssr and cubemaps. One thing to keep an eye on is to see if the characters heads ever reflect the hairpieces, it might seem nitpicky but it should be quite noticeable

The big focus of this game is PURELY presentation. Its a simple basic puzzle game with legos. But just making it this beautiful and sound so alive makes it worth it. I am so gonna get this game

I was looking at this yesterday, on the Switch store, and I was thinking just- how much love I have for the LEGO games, and then seeing the ones that look like this that are so so so detailed, well rendered, and textured, that the bricks even have scratches and scoring on them. I love how the light shines off the bricks, how the shading forms over them, they legitimately look quite real.

@@j377yb33n the upside with amd is their fidelityFX ray tracing, even non-amd cards can use it. this being a showcase from nvidia though, i wouldn’t be surprised if the ray tracing features were hidden behind a pay wall

I love the minute detail of surface imperfections on some of the Lego blocks like scratches and fingerprint smudges. Really makes the whole diorama look more grounded and photoreal.

i checked the steam specs, its all average except GPU recommended is 6th gen i7 and 8GB ram, also the minimum is a gt 960 or smth so theres likely an option to turn off rtx

A couple of months ago I thought how cool it would have been for LEGO builders to have an advanced building software, with realistic lighting (ray tracing) for photorealistic images. This is not exactly the same, but LEGOs look so good with ray traced reflections, illumination and shadows!

I love this so much. when I was younger I used to play these Lego online board games and I would get so exited I just loved them so much. I can't explain the feeling but I just love little mini lego worlds like this just cuz of nostalgia or something idek. Would I buy a 1000 dollar GPU to play this? absolutely!
