I can’t believe they made the box that the Huntsman was supposed to cut Snow White’s heart out and put into for the Evil Queen into a set! 😂 As for Simba, something is off about him. He looks like he’s seen some stuff lol. I’ll wait for the UCS version.

Hasn't the Maleficient dragon D2C set been cancelled? Other KZfaqrs were talking about it. Also, I feel like the Disney Sleeping Beauty Castle looks a bit too tall and not wide enough. And I really wish they could've skipped figures like Snow White and Sleeping Beauty in the big Disney Castle and the CMF series if they knew they were putting them elsewhere. We've now gotten 6 different Disney characters (more if you include past CMF series and sets) repeated recently when they could've used those spots for others like Beauty, Beast, Hiro, Lilo, Li Shang, Mirabel, Nick Wilde, Judy Hopps, Mowgli, Baloo, Quasimodo, etc.

I love how luisa uses the muscular torso!! I really thought it was a retired piece since most of the male lego minidolls just use the regular minidoll torso. But im so glad we’re getting it it suits luisa a lot.

I'm honestly SUPER impressed with the Simba set and the Maleficent dragon! I'm especially super happy with Simba's price! $20!? Lego, are you finally going back to the 2000s!? Where you could get a lot of great peices for a good price!? Wishful thinking, but I can dream. I'm honestly shocked by such a low price for a high peice count. The Maleficent dragon is absolutely beautiful for how it's built. I might actually buy these freaking sets.

Simba definitely the best out of this wave. Turned out great for such a small set. Curious about the large scale one which was supposed to release opposite this one though. Knew about the Sleeping Beauty set so disappointment isn't entirely unexpected. From what I understand the 18+ was altogether cancelled and reduced to what we see here as the minidoll set. Dragon turned out great, but was really hoping to see a more adult orientated build depicting the darker final scenes of the movie.

Might be an unpopular opinion but I think the Disney Princess (or Princess-esque) films suit mini-dolls more than they do minifigs. Glad I held off on getting that original Madrigal house, the new one looks awesome.

The Encanto set is exactly the oldest and the youngest generation. Bruno was an uncle, so he’s missing alongside all of the parents.

The minidoll in a poncho is name Camillo, I think his inclusion make kinda sence as I remember he was a popular character. Even tho in the film he was mostly a minor character. But he’s popular enough to get a minidoll.

This is a pretty good wave but, my favorite things about this wave are Simba, Maleficent Dragon, the Encanto house, and I love the hair peice on the Ariel minidoll. Even though I like minidolls, I wish that Lego would make more Disney sets with minifigures.

Most of these are kinda neat, though I am miffed it's not minifigures, especially after all those Disney 100 sets last year. I love that we're getting Lion King LEGO, hopefully we get a set with some animal molds at some point. But how could Lego leave Bruno out of the Encanto sets? He's one of the most popular characters from that film... Don't diss Camilo though, he's awesome.

Pretty sure that would require a lot of new animal minifigure head molds that might not have a lot of potential for reuse outside of the theme. Lego would be willing to have a couple for a minifigure series or an ideas set, but not for a general release set. In Animal Crossing, just about all heads of a single species are the same shape so Lego can just use the same mold with different color plastic and different printing so they can justify the molds, but where else would a Judy or Nick head be used outside of the theme?

I was expecting the $20 simba to look like absolute garbage, let's just say i was very surprised. I think the new encanto house looks terrible though.
