I do love compatibility between sets, but requiring people to buy the Knuckles mech just to get the rest of the shrine instead of making a $10 or polybag version is pretty mean. And I say that as someone who thinks that set has great value on its own. OH! I love that they included Shadow in the Super Sonic set with the yellow speed sphere, since it means you can use that sphere with Shadow too! His trails are yellow, after all?

I wish they would include new characters, super sonic is special but it’s ludicrous that they don’t have new figures all together. I wanted metal sonic, cream, and big

I'm irked that we haven't gotten an Orbot to go with Cubot.

Personally, I DON’T think it’s annoying to get original stuff for Sonic from Lego. To me, it’s very creative and outside the box, which is what Lego is all about.

LEGO cooked with the Egg Pawn and Eggrobo, and including grapes in the Shrine set is a fun Easter egg for Knuckes. Also for the Shrine set, the absence of the Master Emerald is funny to me since Angel Island can’t float without it 😂

I was so betting Big would be in the Tails set because of the piece count and price. I should've guessed it was another gimmick set 😭

Super Sonic vs Egg Drillster is the best set. Super Sonic looks great! I’m getting a mix of Thunder Driller and Coles Earth Driller vibes from Egg Drillster.

Definite favorite of this wave is the Master Emerald Shrine; It's a pretty solid rendition of the Sonic Adventure Emerald Shrine, and the Egg Robo is probably the best Badnik build we've gotten outside of the original Ideas set. I do wish it actually came with the Master Emerald, instead of it being exclusive to the Rouge and Knuckles set. The Eggman Drill Car set would be my favorite (Even if it is pretty inaccurate to the one from Sonic 2), but man, that price point kinda kills my interest in it. And while it's my least favorite of the Wave, I do like Tails' boat. It's a cute little speedboat that works well in both a Sonic context and a City/Town context, and I like the exclusive Tails faceprint and orange recolor for the speed ball thing.

I just hope we get more figures that were from Lego dimensions for sonic :D

The Tails boat could be a reference to Canyon Cruise from Sonic the Fighters.

This was kinda a disappointment for me. Super Sonic is *DEFINITELY* a huge win but I really think these could have used at least one more new character, Metal Sonic and Orbot at the very least coming to mind

The Super Sonic set hurts because it’s predominantly minifigures I already have and Super Sonic. Going to pick up the Master Emerald Shrine (after grabbing the Knuckles mech mainly for the M.E. and Rouge’s glider) and wait til Christmas on the Tails boat (which looks pretty fun IMO)

I’m so excited! I love the addition of the Eggrobo and the Egg Pawn, and I adore the Egg Drillster! Can’t wait to get them!

Did you know that the Master Emerald from the Knuckles Mech set would be an addition to the new Emerald Shrine set?

Maybe they're working on a better Master Emerald mold?

The coolest things here are the new robot variations like Egg Robo and the introduction of a REAL Super Sonic figure after years of anticipation but yeah these are a very high price.

Hoping we have Cream, Big and Metal next year. Maybe we'll be lucky to get the likes of Blaze The Cat and/or Jet The Hawk

I really hope this theme has staying power. Chaos 0 is admittedly a stretch as a potential minifigure but I am positive we will get a Metal Sonic at some point if this theme continues.

I honestly think we have a plentiful roster of characters and they could make a lot of cool sets with these figures. I'd love to see some more 18+ sets based off of specific games. Imagine getting a diorama of city escape or a modular death egg!

My thoughts: 1. The Egg Drillster from Sonic 2 makes its return, as does the Egg Pawn from Sonic Heroes and the G.U.N. Beetle from Sonic Adventure 2, all in LEGO form. Jakks-Pacific is doing a good job with their line of Sonic figures thus far, but they still need to take notes from LEGO and add Kiki, the G.U.N. Beetle, and the Egg Pawn to it. 2. Sega needs to make a new party video game akin to the Mario Party series like they did in 2000 with Sonic Shuffle for the Sega Dreamcast. I feel parasailing would make a good 2 Vs. 2 mini-game, with the first player driving the boat and the second player parasailing, collecting rings and gems and avoiding obstacles like debris and seagulls (Mario Party 4 had a similar mini-game called "Pair-a-Sailing"). Also, I like how Sonic's minifigure has a lifejacket on because he cannot swim. And of course, we get Jaws in LEGO form. 3. Egg Robo is back in LEGO form and Knuckles has made himself feel at home at the altar with a punching bag and tons of grapes.

The speed sphere should have been for shadow instead of tails. I love that super sonic is a new mould. The egg driller is really fun but idk if I will realistically get it

Forgot to mention this but,I’m not really surprised they did this bc other themes have done it multiple times,hidden side,ninjago,city,monkie kid and disney but the first one that came to mind for me was nexo knights mainly the library set that is an add on to the fortrex,yes it’s scummy but knowing it’s coming in the summer along with how Christmas will be closer for multiple people,also you can just find that piece in other cheaper sets the master emerald piece is the Disney crystal dress piece so if you really want the master emerald then just get the Tiana set or brick link it,there’s multiple solutions

Was expecting Big to be in the boat set and Tikal or Chaos in the Knuckles set. It's also a shame we didn't get Team Chaotix and Metal Sonic. We pretty much got repeated characters again.

Want the super sonic one and the shrine one but pissed about not having the master emerald. I skipped most of the first wave so this is perfect for me, I'll be getting everything in these sets except the emerald ugh

I think I'll totally grab the Knux and Super Sonic sets. Hopefully that Shadow isn't a dupe from the 20$ set since I basically have every minifigure from the theme except for the alt of Sonic. (Eggman is void because you cannot say no to just one Eggman figure)

I honestly like the builds in the egg drill set and since shadow's myfavorite character i don't mind getting a second, but i really wish they'd include some of the bigger robot characters like Omega or Gamma. The Knuckles set is crazy to me though. Basically a better version of the mech set without Rogue and the emrald itself unless you count the shards around the top.

@just2good Well at least it makes more sense for Tails to have a boat than for Knuckles to have a mech. since he is the genius boy of the group and loves building machines and vehicles of this type. I'm happy to have Super Sonic as a minifigure and nice Easter Egg of Maria Robotnik.

Definitely getting the drillster. The knuckles set feels like the game came out after the dlc. People would be passed if they released the shrine first without the master emerald, then the mech set later. I'll be getting it tho, angy knux and egg robot are just too cool. But that boat set? Why? I don't need a boat, a winking tails, or an orange speed Sphere. At least have an electric bubble or fire shield from sonic 3 for the monitor print!

So this wave is pretty much the Sonic equivalent of two Ninjago sets & a Friends/City set.

The only sonic set I have is the shadow's bike one and it's because I have a shadow shrine on my desk, anyways having sets based on actual game related things is great and they should focus on it.

For $50 they shouldve included a big the Cat big fig. also wish the eggpon wasnt in such an expensive set caused id love to armybuild them. at this point though Im just praying this theme lives long enough for another waves cause I feel like they are on the cusp of nailing it.

Rumor has it that the new Lego Knuckles Lego set is supposed to be a sequel connection with the previous one.

I'm all for the master emerald shrine and egg drillster sets but the boat I don't care for.

With these new reveals, I might get the Tornado one for Tails and Sonic, The Master Emerald Shrin for Knuckles, Amy and the shrine itself. Though now I'm a bit torn between either the Egg Robot set or the Egg Driller set for Eggman. Ay suggestions on which one I should get, I'll probably just save either for Christmas anyway.

Imo the sets are fine, it might be a bit over priced, but the sets look good I don’t think we need to get game specific sets, or scene specific sets, I think we just need sets based on boss fights or iconic levels

Yes brand new sets but hey these are okay I wish they were better though but hey they're still pretty interesting to me for sure! I may get both the $35 and the $55 set for sure man so why not! It is Lego Sonic after all and who doesn't like Lego Sonic exactly man!

Yeah these sets are definitely not my favourite, but I might get the Egg Driller for Super Sonic. About that Tails boat though, I’m pretty sure there was a boat like that in the Sonic OVA, although it wasn’t Tails’ vehicle

Imagine if we get a Lego Death Egg but it’s just the Lego Death Star rethemed into a Lego Sonic set with a few additional pieces to make Eggman’s face on the set. lol Also $80 for the Egg Drillster feels pretty stupid. The Death Egg robot costed $20 less than that.

When the set name leaked as 'Egg Drillster vs Super Sonic' I thought it was weird matching up Super Sonic against the first boss of Sonic 2 probably the easiest boss of the classic trilogy! So I'm glad this Egg Drillster is a bit bigger and meaner looking. Amy should have been replaced with Tikal in the Emerald Shrine set. Probably too deep of a cut but I stand by that Tikal is one of the best designed female Sonic characters.

In the knuckles set defense, Lego probably expected you already bought the master emerald set so you could just set the master emerald on top

I was on board with buying the Eggman Drillser until I heard the price tag!

the way I see it, the sonic line is for kids first fans second and that's okay, lego shouldn't cater to a small percentage of sonic fans when their target demographic for this line are children. I'm just hoping down the line that we get more deepcuts once sonic is an established theme, remember it took Jacks pacific a few years to get to the more deep cut figures they're making now like chaos, Jet the hawk and e-123 Omega.

I don't have a Lego Amy Minifigure yet but I'm happy she'll be in a cheap set so I'll wait for that set to come out

That little "bot" is one of the G.U.N. drones from Sonic Adventure 2. Specifically the Beetle type. Edit: This specific one is the GUN Wing variant of the Beetle type.
