Lego Powered Up/ Control+/ Boost Tutorial #01: One App to rule them all [English|HD]

Today I start an update for my english Powered Up, Boost, Control+ etc tutorials. The first tutorial-row will be a guide on how to code freely with the powered up app. You can use it to write small programs and applications for lego powered up, lego boost and lego control+ products.

Thank You for the intro video. QQ : Is the app running on a PC or a Tablet ? if its a table like iPad, how are you interacting with it ?

I'm using a docked Nintendo Switch running android. I can use a normal USB computer mouse to control it and I'm capturing the HDMI output with a capture card.

Ciao I’m using powered up to control the liebherr lr13000. Because I’ve modified some parts the standard app doesn’t work properly anymore. So I’m recreating the commands. Till now all works even the retiurn on “zero” position. Now I’m starting to put some limit to the movements. Can’t figure out how to do. First I tray to put a stop button on the return on zero. No success… then I give up and start to figure out hot to stop the manual movements at zero and the upper limit… no clue! Can you give me some advices? I’m not good to programming.. thanks!!

I'm not exactly sure what you want as I don't have the model, but maybe you can try to "map" the actual motor values to the values between 0 and 100 or -100 and 100 with a mathematical function. You will have to add or substract something from the actual motor value to get to 0 or -100 and then you can use multiplication to get the "area" between min and max value to 100 or 200 (depending on if it's from 0 to 100 or -100 to 100). In the end, you will want to have something like motor angle = (slider value - offset) * sliderRange/motorAngleRange I think
