One interesting feature of the app that we didn't cover yet are selfmade programming blocks. You can use them to make your code more readable or to avoid repititions.

Hi, I've only recently got my first Lego set that runs on the Powered Up app (motorised the Tram in the latest Lego Winter Village set) and was trying to work out how to automate the running of it. This tutorial series is the best I've found so far, I've learnt heaps, thanks. Amazed at how powerful the app is. You mention in this video about sharing code blocks, how do you do that? Also, how did you video the app and use a mouse to control it?

I'm not sure what you mean by sharing code blocks. Do you have a timestamp? Android devices sometimes support USB OTG to connect a USB device. Additionally, there are android devices with a HDMI out which can be captured. There are no additional steps required if you use android. In my case, it's a hacked nintendo switch console with a USB mouse and a HDMI capture card (Elgato Game Catpure HD).

@@technicmaster0tutorials at 7:48 when you discuss teamwork. You got my thinking, so I found another way to use the Powered Up app on a Windows PC. If you have a Samsung phone there is a Windows app called Samsung Dex, connect the phone to the PC via USB and you can then run the app in Dex and use the mouse to manipulate the code blocks. Much easier than using fingers on the small screen of a phone. Additionally you could use a program like OBS Studio to capture the Dex screen.

@@A_BricksAndThings My idea was that you "redo" the program on the other device once the program is finished. It's also possible to access the folder structure of the PUP app in android and programs can be shared that way, but that's not very straight forward.

It's a pretty simple build that you should be able to copy pretty easily.

for this program we need to have the application open in addition to the remote control. or maybe we can transfer the program to the hub and use the remote control without the application running?
@technicmaster0tutorials
@technicmaster0tutorials 3 жыл бұрын
Sadly the Powered Up App doesn't allow you to download programs to the hub yet. The application has to stay open.

Hi! Is there an option to set continuous acceleration while button on the remote is pressed using poweredup app?

What do you mean by continuous acceleration?

@@technicmaster0tutorials I mean that speed (power) of motor would grow from 0 to 100 in some progression as long as you keep holding button on remote. Not instant 100% after pressing button. I have onle one idea - to make a sequence of different blocks with for example 20-40-60-80-100% output separated by a few seconds. Maybe there's a way to increase power smoothly (with one button and in poweredUp app)? :)

@@yolotoly That's possible in theory but I think that it wouldn't be very controllable in the end
