I got the original mind-storms starter set with the yellow brick when I was 8. Despite the great potential of the various sensors, computer “block” with numerous programmable functions, etc. I was devastatingly disappointed. The issue was that it would have been more appropriate for a high school student with some knowledge of computers/basic coding theory, and at such a young age, I was never able to realize any of the immensely innovative robots showcased in advertisements, especially without direct building instructions 😢

Also the program the ev3 use scratch as a coding program lego spike uses another program that lego made that os not as good as scratch

with all the mindstorms nostalgia I personally love the spike prime a lot and its a change from mindstorms but I love it and I study with spike prime in my school so its a bonus for me

There is a official OS from Lego for the EV3. You can Programm with python and connect to any Bluetooth device. You can connect a controller for controlling the robot .

My school has the very first Mindstorms set, with a lot of technic parts, cabling, the yellow box for the coding. I don't know what else there is but I'd love to take it, but I'm not one to steal.

dang. lego dinosaur figures are expensive. an indoraptor goes for over $100! but i did see someone selling somewhat cheap dinos, making the price ~$12. but the cheapest giganotosaurus figure i found was $50. edit: im speaking of this since i came over from another vid abt expensive minifigs.

Lego's product quality seems to be deteriorating over the years from what I can gauge, though I hope this ends soon... They should have been more transparent and open about discontinuing such a well-known product line to the public imo

I dislike the clickbait used for this video. It has zero mention of Mindstorms whatsoever and the thumbnail is misleading... it was an interesting video but its not at all what I thought it was going to be. Clickbait is fine to an extent, but I would greatly appreciate if it at least fit the content of the video. :/

I own a mindstorm ev3 and have tried lego spike prime a couple of times the coding aspect of lego spike is much worse than the ev3

Lego's quality has slowly been going downhill the last several years. From the increase in prices to the higher emphasis on printed minifigures compared to quality sets has become more apparent. 2002 to 2013 were the years Lego released some of their best product lines. They haven't been able to replicate that era since.
