4 жыл бұрынMandRproductions review of the 2005 LEGO Star Wars 10143 UCS Death Star 2! This was the biggest LEGO set (by piece count) when released and it's still massive by todays standards! Clocking in with 3449 pieces this took me about 10 HOURS to build! Perhaps the biggest disappointment with the first dozen or so LEGO Star Wars UCS sets was the lack of Minifigures and this set unfortunately has none. However once you see this thing, that'll be the last thing you'll be thinking about! It's amazing in every way and the ultimate LEGO Star Wars Death Star for collectors.

Still to this day some people haven't seen Star Wars which I just can't understand and believe ;p Also he shouldn't because as you said it has been a long time and it would be different if it was just released. I kinda like that he just said the spoiler and after that said spoiler warning hahaha :p

@@sebastianavina8924 Omg, I think you really missed something in your life all those years you haven't seen any of the Star Wars movies :p and indeed they are all awesome. My favourite are the Prequel movies and my all time favourite Movie is (Episode III: Revenge of the Sith). It was just so great, awesome and perfect. I still don't have Disney + here in Belgium, I will have to wait till summer 2020 :(. Then Again Idc about it because there is always the Torrent World where you can get what you want and don't have to pay anything. I kinda don't like that Disney + does only 1 episode each week if a new show is released, like they did with The Mandalorian. Netflix on the other hand is better in that kind of way because you can binge watch the whole season of that show that has been released for example. I kinda want to see Disney + do the same. There are alot of people who canceled their subscription, after The Mandalorian Season 1 was fininished, because there wasn't really anything new on the platform which I can agree to.

If Lego does decide to remake this set, it would be interesting if they designed it so you could rebuild it into a complete Death star. So add some paneling up the side to finish it off. It would significantly increase the peice count, but would be a welcomed feature

I always thought this set was amazing and I have personally yearned for this set for 15 years (I was young in 2005 and I did not building UCS sets until 2017).

if you just can't hold out waiting then go for bootleg releases of the retired sets like the 2nd death star, brands like lepin or mould king. Quality may feel a little bit worse but it's good enough for me. As i recently got the bootleg version of the 10143, haven't finished it yet tho..

I noticed this a few days ago, the last plate before the skeleton is also looking as it is in construction but if you look on the box it is fully built

Interesting build by having a flip approach. Shame there wasn’t more difference between the top and bottom half to more closely tie into the classic look in ROTJ. I guess if they were to do an update, that would definitely happen.

I see how people could want a complete death star. But it would have to have some pretty cool stuff inside or open on the hinge. Because the whole fact that this one was unfinished is what gives it character.

I remember seeing this at the lego store last year, all beat up but still sealed in box at the Disney springs lego store Edit: nvm it was the 2016 one but the words “Star Wars” were older looking font and it was just a beat up box

about what you said about the superlaser on your 2008 death star,you probably didn't press the pieces. I have the 2016 death star and my superlaser was always falling apart but like 2 days ago I realized I didn't press the pieces in. now i can grab the superlaser shake it and nothing will brake.

Im building this set and everything is built correctly (99% sure) but i cant figure out how to line up the bottom of the two "broken" little quarter spheres, the instructions and every video ive seen doesn't help because as you know the instructions dont show how they line up and all the videos are timelapses from a 3rd person view, so you cab really see it. Any pointers or help? Or maybe how i can get help?

I had this set when I was young. I was about half way done but then my rabbit accidentally knocked my xbox controller onto it and it broke off the ends on those little ship wheel pieces that you attached the different panels to

He still pronounced it wrong. He pronounced it like the actual word, which isn't correct for the ship. The ship is pronounced more similar to executive than the normal pronunciation for executor

@@lostcoastfire1271 Lol, why do you have to be so stuck up? The interior on the Death Star I is great for display purposes too. Having all those iconic scenes recreated in LEGO form certainly makes for a nice conversation piece, unlike a gray globe with a laser on the top half. Even though I would have liked them to include some way to cover it up, that interior is amazing in its own right. Bet you prefer the UCS Star Destroyer to the Millennium Falcon too, lol.

ForceRocker I can respect wanting to creat iconic scenes but to me the just death star with an interior just seems like a giant doll house. No point to even having a Death Star if it’s like that imo. I really like the look of the actual Death Star with panels. You’re better of just making a diorama of your favorite scenes. Just my opinion.
