Wrecker's helmet is the best use of that Iron Man helmet, it looks better on him than Iron Man ironically enough

The commando backpacks was probably done so everyone could fit in the ship

2:54 Lego classes the gonk droid as a minifigure because they have always classed droids that are about the same size as minifigures, as minifigures.

I love that the ship has an actual interior, I was afraid that the ship looked too small but I was mistakened, i have an obsession with lego vessels that can actually fit the mini figs inside of them lol it's just a cool thing to me

I really like this set, I do agree with the gripes that you pointed out throughout the review, especially the fact there’s no locking mechanism for the middle cockpit piece. But great review as always David, can’t wait to pick this one up.

I love the wooden accent in the thumbnails. I feel like it gives a unique contrast balance in the camera to bring out the vibrancy and smoothness of the box and set, as well as a thematic balance to the plastic, sci-fi. Underrated vibe. Every other channel is either an amateur with baseplates, or a sterile white background.

oh man, I'm starting to have 2nd thoughts about buying this set, when it comes out. (1) as you mentioned there is no landing gear, (2) the figures don't have their backpacks, thus they look incomplete, (3) they could have removed the 2 speeders and instead as you mentioned again, used those parts to slightly make the shuttle bigger. Honestly now I'm upset about the figures and the shuttle appears to be a lot more smaller that I thought it would be. What's even more annoying is that the imperial speeder doesn't have those pistols on the back and so the speeder looks even worse

No one has there back packs except for tech and it’s pissing me off!

Definitely has issues, though for me, none of them are deal breakers. I looked at a bunch of screencaps and even action figures of Tech and they all veer toward being light gray, not white. To me, the color choice by Lego makes total sense. This set does worry me though that Lego is cutting more and more corners but making the set too desirable in terms of minifigs and whatnot to pass up on. How far are they going to push this trend?

Printed backpacks is just a slap in the face imo. Just a couple extra pieces and they could've included brick-built ones. Lego's been cutting too many corners lately :(

Few thoughts of mine after getting this set finally myself and after having seen this and several other reviews: 1) Lack of landing gear I am ok with. It sits solidly on the ground (is surprisingly more solid than I thought overall) and I would rather have no landing gear than flimsy, and badly designed landing gear a la the 75301 X-Wing's super weak front landing gear. 2) Lack of locking top fin is unfortunate but with a bit of part rearranging/modding (depending on what you do, can be done with just the parts included in the box) the top fin can be made to attach with several studs making it much more secure and able to be picked up "gently" by the top fin if it's unloaded (try it; remove the 1-stud smooth round from the top and move up the 2x4 sand-blue tile on the top fin so that it attaches to the 3-stud light tan corner piece via 2 studs of connection (can see this very briefly in the video here at around @5:46 when he opens the top). 3) Smooth plate sections between the engines and the top fin can pop off with repeated handling, but nothing that I would categorize as a chronic design flaw. LEGO pieces angled into tightly packed spaces working loose due to flexion isn't new and imo doesn't detract away from this set being a pretty swooshable ship. 4) Removing the cargo compartment and storage bin frees up enough room to fit Gonky or Crosshair without any additional modification or pieces!!

So hyped for the set! Nice review David...if I do get the set I will add backpacks to the bad batch crew!

I think they could move the storage as a sort of a floor piece, so more figures would fit, perhaps there would be room to put omega if she existed in lego.

Best thing is that they even included Tech's receding hairline lol

Maybe the reason why it's sand blue is because later in the show they re paint the shuttle to blend in and also I think the reason why crosshair doesn't have a range finder is after his injuries in episode 8 he gets some cybernetics to heal him faster and enhance him even more

This is the #1 set I want to get this summer.

I love the one piece of string/hair blowing in the air on Echo's head lol!

We should be grateful that Lego didn't split The Batch in seperate sets unlike The Knights of Ren.

I wish they used dark grey and incorporated bits of sand blue with small pieces or stickers

I have palps shuttle and it seems so much better, its larger and can fit more minifigs, has landing gear and a lockable fin I hate legos new build design of more pieces and more detail but less size

It would take more than just a locking mechanism. I'm sure the reason they left it out is because that top fin isn't load bearing. The only thing holding it on is a layer of studs, and if you could pick it up from there the shuttle would break and fall. Not saying that it excuses it, but it would take a lot more parts and an entire redesign to pull it off

I think it makes sense for Tech to be light grey rather than white, looking at shots from the show he seems more grey than white to me and if you compare shots of him in his armour compared to the reg's armour it's definitely darker than white.

I still haven’t seen anybody talking about this, so I will. Look up the NEXO Knights figure Axel and tell me something like that wouldn’t have been perfect for wrecker. It annoys me so much that he’s the same size as all the others, and nobody talks about it! Great review as always, David 🤙🏼

I have heard complaints about the landing gear regarding shuttles like the imperial shuttle 2021. So either Lego cheated out on us, or decided to not put landing gear due to complaints.

Appreciate the honesty. I still have a love my palp shuttle but the price for the quality of the shuttle is kinda hard to overlook. I love a good Leto shuttle but this one is flawed and needs improvement. I can let the lack of landing gear slide but the not being able to pick it up by the fin is a no for me. Great review like always :)

I was really excited when this set first came out because I loved the show so much. After reviews I have realized how small the shuttle is and no mobility. Instead of this buying this set, I have purchased the Mandolorian imperial ship set (more expensive)…hoping it will be worth it

Good review on the vehicles. Figures look amazing. Prefer them to the custom ones out there. As for the backpacks. Yes a little annoying but easily rectified.

I think the extra printing on the characters and the special helmets for tech and wrecker is what made them skimp on the backpacks and skirt thing for echo

My thoughts exactly - would need a way to lock. Plus I‘m frustrated with the sides oft the cover, cause they tend to come off! Love the sand blue though. I‘m gonna modify this set.

Tech and echo cand fit in the front of the ship btw (tech you can actually fit in the pilot seat with his helmet and backpack)

I really appreciate your video it's fascinating and amazing but especially I love the Lego Star Wars 75314 The Bad Batch attack Shuttle as well as the minifigures. Especially for the commandos minifigures. Who are Tech, Echo, Hunter, Wrecker and Crosshair Plus a gonk Droid. I really love the design that u can fit the commandos minifigures without having to remove the backpack as for the two speeders the speeders design they're outstanding. And I got to say this but this is my favorite set of all the Lego Star Wars the Bad Batch attack shuttle cuz I like the bad batch attack shuttle plus the two speeders with the Minifigures Who are the Bad Batch clones Tech, Echo, Hunter, Wrecker and Crosshair I really love Tech's buildable backpack and finally I'm glad that the set included a small little Gonk Droid LEGO figure.

I can’t help but like this set less every time I look at, what I consider to be, it’s shortcuts. Maybe a better display piece than more recent shuttle sets, but it’s the execution of this that doesn’t settle with me. Good video though, and I like the figures too!

I think the seperatist ship is actually trench's ship, sincehe bad batch was involved in the last battle with him. Looks very much like it.

the sticker with the Venator has the Providence class destroyer "Invincible" on it (Admiral Trench's ship)

I put a 1x2 stud plate right where the cockpit closes thus creating a lock mechanism just still be a bit careful when picking it up

Imagine if we get a set based on the episode with the rancor michu it'll be a play set with a bunch of modules but it'll have a rancor, omega, the little kid they were trying to save and maybe echo or something

I will be buying this set because of the figures but it’s kind of disappointing that the other 3 sets where cheaper an looked like they had bigger/bulkier looks to them. Nice review :)

I agree with them keeping Crosshair in Imperial uniform, he turns on the batch early and is mostly in that uniform so far.

I think discrediting a gonk droid as a figure is kinda bizarre it IS one of the characters even in the show imo

i dont have a chance to watch the show but do like how the shuttle looks like the shuttle from revenge of the sith. my favorite shuttle is still krennics shuttle because it looks a little different and has that imperial look still.

6:06 That's actually a Separatist Dreadnought, i'm assuming it's Admiral's Trench Flagship from the battle of Anaxes, in which The Bad Batch fought.

Well technically crosshairs speeder is different but it only has 2 round 1x1 studs with a hole missing which the one in the 501st had

Just bought this set, it looks good out of the box but I will modify it, landing gear, interior space and the cockpit are then main focus for the mods for me

Lego could have easily skipped the speeders and made it 60$ or actually gave us a 100$ build.

Since it’s not a ship that requires you to by more than one I think it’s a good set mainly buying it for the mini-figures!

My main issue with the set is the size, it’s tiny compared to how it should be. In the show the shuttle is much larger than a Y-Wing, which the set isn’t, at least when compared to the Rogue One Y-Wing set.

I honestly wish Crosshair and Hunter's helmets were new molds as their helmets are quite different in shape to the regular Phase II but that aside these mini figs looks great

Great review, thanks for sharing! You really do bring up some relevant points about some of the minor gripes You have about this set. Firstly, the locking mechanism on the top of the ship's cockpit and interior is a big one because young children will most likely, as you say be going for the top central fin as they're grabbing it to play with, only to be shocked when the ship breaks and falls onto the floor and they have to rebuild it again and again. As for the minifigures, the helmets don't seem to be the most accurate (Hunter's is more Stormtrooper styled / shaped, so is Echo's and Imperial Crosshair's). Not to mention that none of them have separate piece backpacks and only have printed on ones. Crosshair has no helmet antenna and Echo has a right hand. Let's also not forget that Hunter doesn't even have a blaster. Even so, Echo and Hunter just look like the same minifigure with different printing since Echo has no Kama / Waistcape. And most importantly of all, where is Omega? She is one of the most important characters of the show and she is totally absent from this set. That would be disappointing to Omega fans. However, I do like the fact that they reused Ironman's helmet painted and printed differently for Wrecker. Some pretty unique and cute parts recycling from Lego. Those decals on the ships interior are cute too. Overall, it seems that Lego was being very budget conscious when creating this set. The price tag is decent but it could be a little lower. I like the scaling with the set personally. Fits in well with the new x wing and slave 1 models. Altho yea I would love to not have the speeders honestly.

A little late to this video but I just bought this at 50% off and compared to the bootlegged ones, I can tell you they did a somewhat better job at representing the characters than Lego did. A white Tech, full-on backpacks AND there's Omega which I've combined the torso and legs with an original MJ head with Luke's hair. Yes, I mix my bootlegged parts with originals but only because Lego failed me sometimes!

It’s cool and honestly a great set for most fans regardless of age. I just wish this was next next $130 Kylo Ren’s Shuttle (2019 version) or razor crest set with a bit more size and no speeders. Maybe we’ll get another one in a few years. Also the iDisplayit stands look great! I’ve been using them since 2019 and usually have people on Reddit ask about them. Glad to see more people using them.

I been a huge lego Star Wars fan and I do want to add the bad batch shuttle to my collection. Though I do agree it’s small like smaller then the Sentinel class shuttle I have. And it does bump me out a bit that four members of the bad batch don’t have a have a backpack despite them being seen with a backpack and other small nit picks are of course why couldn’t they make it bigger? Like maybe get rid of the recolor 501st speeder and maybe add those parts to the shuttle would have been better. As well as make tech actually white and give characters like Tech, Echo, and Hunter blasters since they do have weapons. But regardless I’ll still buy it because I like the clone wars and I like bad batch

If they ever re do this set they should do the set a little bit bigger, add all the commando backpacks, maybe fix Tech’s helmet, fix Echo’s face and add more guns

If I buy it,I think ill change out alot of the blue. It's just not that colour. If your looking at the ship in the show you can tell it's been painted over grey there's very few straches and just ware and tear showing the more blue colour through it

I hope lego produces a Cid minifig, she’s got sass. And lego better not use Bossk as a reference cos they’re both totally different body shapes.

My only issue with it, is I would've honestly went without both speeders and instead make the back of the shuttle larger. In the show the cockpit is only 1/3 of the over all shuttle whereas in this it is half of the whole thing. The really long cockpit with the stubby cargo area makes it look so strange.

Technically the Imperial V-Wing set is also a set. (It was originally expanded universe set when released in 2011)

They should have not included those speeders but ofcourse they had to make this set expensive. The funny thing is this ship looks smaller than others but costs the most. Still minifigs are killing it

The separatist cruiser at 5:59 is a Providence-class dreadnought named "Invincible". It's owned by Admiral Trench in the 2nd season of TCW where we see it getting destroyed by Anakin using the stealth ship during the battle of Christophsis.

I’m planning to buy the CAC accessories for the bad batch and I believe they’ll do the batch justice and really enhance each fig since CAC has such great quality

Honestly the figs are growing on me at first I did not like them but it’s still sucks echo did not get a waist cape and that none of them got backpacks but they are still really good figs
