Republic Bricks really is trying to convince the world that MOCs are supposed to be fragile and can barely stand under their own weight

I think the problem with Republic Bricks is that, you can make VERY sturdy MOCs, but the thing is RB only designs their MOCs on a software and never physically tests their models.

This is in the description of this set on his website. “The model is very strong with a heavy technic structure.”

Not all MOCs are fragile. Republic Bricks clearly doesn't test his builds and adjust for strength.

Important for buyers: Republic bricks items often go on sale for up to 40%, so I would always buy them on sale rather than full price

Just would like to remind those who dont know but in the Star Wars Universe, there are 2 separate Mandalorian starfighters that look almost the same, the Larger dropship-like one (not sure and dont remember if the fuselage rotates completely 360 or not) and the small 1 man fighter where the fuselage does rotate 360

I have to strongly disagree. UCS Lego sets are called "Ultimate" not just because they're detailed, but also because of their high quality. No way I'm spending 300 bucks on a build that falls apart if I breathe a little to hard near it.

Th Gauntlet is just such a smooth design for a Starfighter. Ive loved them since they're first appearance.

I said this before, but I’ll say it aging, you should really do a video testing the true quality of Timmy’s products. Do an unsponsored video ordering something from expensive from his website, without telling him. Or better yet get someone else to do it. This will give us a solid idea on how he treats his customers. I do know that you talk about the good and bad, but I feel like Timmy is giving you special treatment because either your KZfaq numbers or your friends with him or both. I have heard from lots of people that Republic Bricks is a lot worse. These sets are some of his best models though.

Lol. Lmao, even. RB wants $90 (on sale from $200, mind you) for a slightly modified Lego model with 650 pieces. All of their stuff seems to be overpriced junk from the reviews I’ve seen

- [ ] Great video Ryan, designer of the UCS model here. Just as a behind-the-scenes look the main body of the ship was built IRL, the wings and their joints were built entirely digitally on my end. The joints were really the only option for a Lego piece that would allow possibility without unnecessary sag when on the stand. I honestly thought I could have both the strength and usability for the ship’s wings, but you can't have your cake and eat it too. Unfortunately that means the molel cannot be picked up with the wings attached. Going back I would’ve just made the wings attached with a single axle, completely giving up the idea of picking the entire model up. Thanks for the feedback y'all, I'm always trying to improve the strength of my builds and these videos are the most constructive way of doing this!

I can’t give republic bricks anymore of my money. He screwed me on a Padme and never responded when I tried to get the issue resolved. I got the fig with no head so that was cool … not. Also everything else I got used old gross rough condition bricks.

i love some of republic bricks’ work but the front of the play-scale Mandalorian fighter can be so easily fixed, have 2 1x1 headlight bricks to hold the rods and it’ll double as stabilization for the top section

I can’t tell if that big one is minifigure scale or not… the Kom’rk Mark III is just a bit smaller than the Millennium Falcon in-universe. I think it’s probably less than minifig scale.

I gotta disagree with how often you excuse Fragility on his models. Some of the smaller details falling off is fine (like the 2x6 tiles near the cockpit of the large model) but those wings are inexcusable. They might be "custom" but they are also being sold as a product to builders who have to handle the product and move it from building area to shelf. Great video though, keep reviewing these customs! Would love to see you review more of the Playset ones he sells. (Im just not a big UCS display guy)

I mod the lego set, just like the republick bricks one, For the landing gear that is. Quite easy, and did it as soon I bought/build it. Well it isnt rocket science to come up with this. I mean if I think of such thing myself...probably most people already have. But this set and the resistance A-wing are the only 2 lego sets I have adjusted so far.

The UCS bo katan starfighter is top notch as well as the Mando version. They are pretty much equal. The Mando version is alright. But all in all, I love both of em.

MandR Productions said that this is a gauntlet starfighter, the Fangfighter vs. Tie Interceptor lego set however is a fangfighter that does not swivel. That is the reason the lego set fighter does nots swivel. They are 2 slightly different ships

I think the wings and playability are definitely better on the Lego model but the displayability and cockpit are way better on the republic bricks model

I think that the $300 ship would have been better without the compartment on the bottom for dropping off troops because you can not fit a figure with a jet pack in that space and it adds a bulge that is inaccurate and detracts from the look of the ship.

The playscale version is beautiful and a great deal. It's totally better than the official LEGO sets of it. If I was a fan of the Mandalorian Starfighter I'd buy it.

As a person who really wants a UCS Gauntlet Fighter...after watching it just fall apart, it's a hard pass from me.

I got a set for sale right now someone want to buy it box has a few bends on it but it’s new I also have a used set for 60$ the new one let go for 90$

It’s almost like they reconned this set to make it bigger like it’s not small at all and made it look like the fighter yet they make the fighter now so the what was supposed to be a bigger set is really a small mini set like the current slave one it’s small so there going to have to make a bigger one soon just like a bigger slave one and bigger xwing and bigger tie fighter soon
