If I were a pilot doing odd jobs across the galaxy, I would totally fly a VCX-100. Rugged yet comfortable design that is versatile enough for almost anything from cargo to passengers and even has space for large external cargo.

The HMP might have been reported at 60,000 credits because they never considered it with a payload. They were only pricing the skeleton frame that a payload could be attached to, which made it look like it was much cheaper.

This is non-canon, not even Disney or old EU stuff, but the Star Wars Role Playing Game lists the Medium Laser Cannon as a Damage 4 weapon in its vehicle scale. People sized characters have Wounds, average adult humans have a base of 12 wounds. Ahsoka, going purely on size, probably has 9 or 10 wounds. Glossing over rules and such, a baseline successful hit from that cannon would do 5 Damage to a space ship, against people, that's 50 wounds. Anything over double your hit points (Wounds) is Annihilation, meaning you're a smear on the ground, a pile of ash, a burnt pile of bones (Like Owen and Beru) or otherwise so dead that they'd have to power wash you into a trash bag. The only reason Ahsoka didn't explode into red mist is because she's an essential character and the show was meant for kids. Honestly, it would have been great if we got some 'What If' episodes at the end of the show where major characters just got ganked left and right.

The HMP that shot Ahsoka probably had its powerpack ruptured, so the shot was far lower power than it would have been from an undamaged unit. That's my thought on how Ahsoka survived the hit.

This is super nice as while i love your ships and vehicles playlist i cant use it, because all the old videos are for members only. For some reason this seems to corrupt the playback session and once you hit a members only video you cant do anything unless you either restart the app or pay for the membership. Reflects badly on youtube that they didnt even set it up to have a skip button on those videos, so a compilation like this is much appreciated!

That is weird, the videos not listed are ones I think so bad I wanted to remove, but then people said they still wanted them, so I put them in membership to essentially hide them. But then I just changed them back to public so I'll look at which ones are still a problem

I can see why the droid gunship only costs 60.000. All the different munitions cost a lot of money. Especially the more exotic or complicated ones😂 The droids also cost money and all the modifications and swappable parts cost money. So all you got for 60.000 was probably the base model, which would then be outfitted to what standards were needed. Just with aircraft and ships today. They all receive upgrades from the get go or get upgraded with them afterwards.

My thought on the first ship; it was probably at such low power at that point that all it could muster was that much of a blast. Not enough to do too much more damage than a blaster pistol. Still coulda killed, but unlikely to. You know, given the COPIOUS AMOUNTS OF PLOT ARMOR IN THIS FRANCHISE. ... Still want me a lightsaber.

7:50 It being crashed could have put it on reserve power. Making the medium laser cannon shot much weaker then it would have been normally. A bit of a stretch, but it could work as head cannon if you are looking for a way to justify it.

The red color was meant as "camo" ... v.Richthofen's squadron "followed" an order to make their planes less recogniseble, he and his comrades weren't very fond of the idea to hide themselves, so came this "rainbow" squadron to life. As far as lagend goes.

Why would anyone arm a droid gunship that supports droid groundtroups, with emp warheads? That would have minimal benefit for maximum risk to backfire in the worst way possible. It hardly will bother any clone that he has to take off hiss defekt helmet, if in turn all his oponents are just as out of action as his hud visor. Sounds to me like a technical stat, that's fully made up to sound bad ass, without any actual source taken from a story that includes them used that way. It's at least hard to picture a scenario that wouldn't seem zotally stupid.

How they downgraded so much from the old republic bombers to the new republic types astounds me, the old republic bombers beat almost anything later in their life cycle in aesthetic and capability. they're beautiful.

The better part of a thousand years without any large scale military presence. So many of these corps that made them started to water down the tech and the design. Stoped teaching people what they deamed useless design principles. Basically the corps stoped catering about the military tech and change production to civilian tech ships. So when the CW started they had to relearn the lesson of bomber creation.
